A/N: This is a guaranteed short
Adalind stumbled out of the woods. She could believe she was stupid enough to fall for such a simple trick to get her hexenbiest killed. Her mother had warned about the effect that a Grimm’s blood had on a witch… and Adalind still let that happen.
Her mind was in disbelief as Adalind slowly drove to her mother’s house. It was a long shot, but maybe her mother had some way of bringing her hexenbiest back. She would do anything to be special again. The feeling of being just like all the humans was not something Adalind could handle.

Adalind knew that Renard and her mother used her in their own ways. It was something that she had grown up to accept but never had Adalind thought that she would be discarded so easily when her powers were gone. No, gone is the wrong word. Killed by the Grimm is more accurate.
Instead of showing some sympathy, they had called Adaline useless and looked at her in disdain. So, after the emotional shots at her mother’s house, Adalind’s mind was set on the Grimm. She knew that what had just happened wasn’t reversible, but maybe there was something he knew that could help her.
Adalind got in her car and drove back to her house. If she was fast enough, the Grimm would still be there. With the speed she was driving, it didn’t take long for her to reach her home. Adalind saw two cars parked outside, and the lights were on inside the house. If the Grimm hadn’t killed her hexenbiest, Adalind would have rushed in there with no fear, but she would have to act more human.
Adalind flipped down the sun visor to check her appearance in the vanity mirror. The Grimm’s blood was still around her mouth, and it made her look gruesome. The best part was that Hank, the Grimm’s friend that she seduced, was a normal human. All Adalind had to do was tell the truth, and she could get the Grimm alone… what Adalind had in mind after that was unknown even to her. She wasn’t in the right mind to plan anything intricate.
She took a deep breath and got out of the car. Adalind slammed the door shut as hard as she could and ran into her house wheezing and blubbering words in a panic.
“Hank! Hank! I-I got attacked!”
Hank rushed out of her room in his boxers and exclaimed, “What the hell! Adalind! There’s blood all over your face!”
Adalind jumped into his arms with teary eyes, “Some guy just jumped on me and kissed me! I bit his lips until he let go. I was able to get away after that.”
After Hank yelled for Nick, the Grimm, Adalind opened her eyes discreetly and looked at Nick with a smirk.
“Adalind, you’re… here.”
Hank scowled at his friend, “What’s wrong with you? This is her house. Of course she’s here. And look at her face!”
Nick raised his arms and said, “Sorry, sorry. I was a little stunned seeing her.”
Hank sighed, “It doesn't matter. I’m going to go get dressed and try to find this asshole. Stay here and watch over her.”
Adalind watched Hank go to her bedroom and raised her brows when two other people came out. “The Grimm and his two dogs. I didn’t think it was possible to keep Blutbad as a pet.”
The two Blutbads looked at Nick and said, “Looks like she’s just a human now. We don’t want any part of this, so I’ll see you later, Nick.’
Nick watched his friends leave before saying, “So? Why are you here, Adalind?”
“Give me my powers back.”
Nick scoffed, “Even if I could, why in the world would I?”
Adalind glanced at her bedroom, “If you don’t, I’ll keep seeing Hank. I might be normal now, but plenty of people hate me enough to kill me even now. You wouldn’t want Hank to be near that, would you?”
Nick clenched his jaw in anger. Before he could say anything, Hank came back out fully dressed and ready to go.
“Hey, where did those two go? Well... it doesn’t matter. Let’s head out. We might still be able to find this guy if we’re quick.”
Adalind touched his arm, “Do you think your partner can stay here while you search? I don’t feel too safe right now.”
Looking confused, Hank said, “Whatever you want, Adalind. Tell me where you were, and I head there right now.”
With Adalind’s location, Nick watched his partner rush off. He turned back to Adalind and stated, “He’s still under your spell.”
“For a few more hours, but I don’t need him to be under a spell to want me.”
Nick scowled at the former witch, “What’s your hope with getting me alone? I don’t have a way for you to get back your powers. There’s nothing I can do to help you… nor would I want to.”
Adalind sauntered to Nick and placed her palm softly on his chest, “Why don’t you think about that after you experience what your friend did? There is a reason humans fall in love with us so easily.”
Nick laughed a little, “That might have been true, but I think you forget that you are now more human than me.”
“AND WHOSE FAULT IS THAT!”
Nick stepped back a little in shock as Adalind gathered herself. She smiled sweetly, “Sorry, I lost control a little there.”
It was at this point that Nick realized that Adalind had lost it. The fast change in emotions and the glint in her eyes were all signs that she was unhinged.
“So?” Adalind said while nearing Nick’s lips, “How about it? A little trade and everything goes back to how it was.”
Nick knew that there was no way for Adalind to recover, and with Hank knowing that they were together, Nick couldn’t exactly hurt Adalind to get away. As he watched her blood-stained lips get closer, there weren’t many options that were left for Nick.
