The Original Ch.1 (Kim Possible)

Summary: Ann Possible is getting sick of James neglecting her, and Ron feels depressed now that Kim is spending most of her time with Josh. Ann sees something one morning that pushes her to get closer to Ron. All for his comfort, of course!

A/N: This is a guaranteed short for one of the $10 pledges. Every single pledge at that level gets a prompt for a minimum 1000 word story per month.

Ann Possible has just about had it with James. She would have understood a couple months of barely any time spent together. After all, she’s has a job too.

She knows that something might come up at work that takes all the attention from your personal life. But two whole years? Either he’s cheating, or he just isn’t interested in her anymore.

No, it’s time to give James a last chance with today’s breakfast. Even a couple of glances away from his newspaper might buy him some time before she deals with this.

Ann heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen just as she finished setting the table, “Just in time, boys. Dig in before you rush off!”

“Well, looks like it’s done,” Ann said out loud, thinking of her marriage.

The twins were late for the bus, so they grabbed some food and ran off. Kim didn’t even have the chance to eat before Josh came to pick her up. That left Ann and her husband, James, sitting in silence until he finished his food and left for work.

The distance that grew between them was a little confusing for Ann. Last year, when she first noticed it, they had sat down and talked about it. Now, Ann found that she just doesn’t care anymore.

After all, even though it sounded a bit conceited, Ann was far out of James’ league. She was in her late 30s but could easily be mistaken for a far younger woman. Her body was in great shape, and Ann wasn’t oblivious to the looks she always got. She just wasn’t interested at the time. After all, what is a night of release compared to a lifetime of happiness?

Now, well, things have changed.

“Mrs. Dr. P, what smells delicious?!” Ron yelled as he walked into the house.

Smiling at him, Ann replied, “Just some pancakes Ron. Dig in!” Here is one of those boys that gave her some of the “looks” she noticed.

It was always harmless, just a crush that a boy gets in childhood. But when that crush moved on to Kim, she always wondered if it was because of her. Ann was basically a Kim that grew into her body.

Noticing Ron glancing around the house, Ann looked at him with pity, “Kimmie left with Josh earlier.”

Ron rubbed the back of his head with a red flush appearing on his face, “It’s that obvious, huh.”

Ann just patted his arm in consolation. There’s nothing she could say to make things better. It’s not like Kim will listen to her mom about dating.

Personally, she would have gone for a guy like Ron instead of Josh. But Ann’s friends in college did make fun of her taste in men, so Ann was aware that she was the odd one here.

Ann, however, did keep one thing secret from everybody. A reason why her dates used to look so weird to everybody. Ann is a size queen. She had found in James someone who could match that need. Now she needs to find another guy that appealed to her likes and could rock her world in bed.

Ann shook her head to clear her rapidly derailing thoughts. One step at a time, first it’s time to find out for sure why James is acting like he is.

Looking at the time, Ann turned back to Ron and said, “You should get to school, Ron. You don’t want to be late again, do you? You’re a senior now!”

Hunching in on himself, Ron squeaked out, “Uhh sure, Mrs. Dr. P.” Squirming uncomfortably, he continued, “Just gonna sit here for a bit. Enjoy the fresh air.”

Raising an eyebrow, Ann stated flatly, “We’re inside Ron.”

“Fresh… pancake air?” Ron said as if asking if that excuse works.

Giving up on figuring out what he was doing, Ann walked to her room while saying, “You can enjoy the ‘air’ till I’m ready for work.”

Coming out of with a form fitting doctor’s coat on, Ann cleared her throat and looked pointedly at Ron, “I know you don’t like school, but this is ridiculous! You haven’t even moved from that spot!”

Looking around frantically, Ron noticed a newspaper on the opposite side of the table. Knowing this is something far too embarrassing to explain, he lunged and grabbed the newspaper. Holding it tightly against himself.

Scrambling out of the house, Ron yelled back, “I’ll just throw this paper out for you Mrs. Dr. P!”

Ann stared after him for a long minute. She saw what he was trying to hide, and she very much liked what she saw. The size queen in her gives Ron full scores.

Looking down at her clothes, Ann couldn’t see anything revealing that could cause Ron to react like that. “I knew I still got it,” she said, smirking in satisfaction when it was purely her looks that got him hard.

Now that Ann thought about it, Ron did turn eighteen recently, so it’s not like it’ll be illegal if something happened. He’s obviously still attracted to her, and Ann now knew Ron had an absolute monster in his pants.

Slapping herself lightly, Ann thought, “No! Stop it, Ann! This is Kimmie’s best friend, and you still have to find out what the hell is going on with James.”

Grabbing her car keys off the counter, Ann got in her car and drove to the hospital. Her thoughts were filled with the state of her marriage, and Ann strangely hoped that it really was falling apart. This had absolutely no connection to what Ron was packing in his pants. None at all.

It made her feel guilty, wanting a failure of a marriage that gave her three children. But, Ann reminded herself, James was the one who decided to treat his wife as a roommate for two years.

Ann felt more at ease once she justified it to herself and could finally get James out of her mind for the rest of the drive.

But, there was a niggling thought at the back of her mind that just wouldn’t leave her.

Why didn’t Ron leave while she was changing?
