Rehab start...(slightly longer story)

Pic 1 : Physiotherapist: " Good morning miss Richards sorry for letting you wait, i was busy with other patient...,im your physiotherapist  Dr.Larsson, its your first time on therapy, so we have to talk a bit and i will finish your record..." 

Jane: " Good evening, Ah, you are so tall compared to me, my neck already hurts, can i shake your hand?" 

PT:"Well, don't worry, we wont spend much time standing, and No, no shaking, yet..let's see.. your doctor, states, you are having several weak muscles on your left side, and also spine problems, also, when i see you close, i can definitely tell, your sitting posture is deforming your entire remaining body."

 Jane:"Umm, okay, im sorry then, you are right, its too early for shaking hands.... my posture is fine, im used to this, i just can't stay on hard surfaces for too long, this mat is much more comfortable...i used to do many sports, but its long time now..." 

PT:"Leave that to me please, i decide which posture is good or bad, ok?You definitely are developing some problems, we will exercise your remaining arm and your abdominal muscles, as well as your back muscles, also, im certain, that you wont be eligible for sitting prosthetics, so you have to get used to cushions,pillow or specially molded seats, or else you are in for lot of trouble in the future." Jane:(sobbing a bit) " I..i...understand, i will do my best, but please be patient with me." PT:"You will have more pain, if you don't, trust me, okay, your medical record is complete for now, rest will occur later, im sure."

Pic 2 : PT:" Im going to lift you up, don't worry, im holding you, just don't wiggle too much..." Jane:" Oh no, no, put me down please, put me down, it hurts and im afraid of heights... put meee down.." PT:" What happened? I told you not to worry, calm down miss Richards, this is ridiculous! That's gonna complicate lot of things! Stop the wiggle! Jane:" Oh im sorry, just put me down, my left side is burning now, and my stomach feel weird again!" PT:" I wont put you down, how you want to exercise easier, without being lifted?"

Jane is sure off to a rough start, but it will be ok with her, months of bedtime and "sitting" taken its toll on her muscles.. hope you enjoy this a slightly longer story and situation...
