In the second, Eric tries to get Dick's attention. He's a bit excited that the other cat is fond of him personally <3

Dick is the front cover version of Thomson, based on the Richard Williams animated commercials he did of the kitty! Eric is the one on the back, based on the Eric Goldberg animated version of the golden kitty.
