An update and thoughts !!
Added 2024-12-04 18:25:34 +0000 UTCSo last month with the Vanessa animatic and the Courtney animatic… I nearly doubled my patrons.
I honestly wasn’t expecting to do so well. Last month I made a promise to myself that I would take less commissions for the month. To take a break, and focus on stuff I want to do. I was planning to make less money than I usually do in a month because of less commissions. But I actually ended up making more than I usually do just from patreon alone.
With that amount of patronage, I wouldn’t have to take nearly as many commissions. I should have much more free time for projects that interest me ! But also I worry about retaining all this new patronage now.
I was considering more animatics, maybe one or two at most a month. I can’t guarantee the length but I was thinking that people really like these.
It would be awesome to hear from new patrons and old patrons alike. But I’m hoping if I at least promise a new animatic a month, I can get new peeps to stay :)
I did have some ideas:
- Elastigirl using Vi’s mouth as a fart muffler
- Maddie Fenton probably unknowingly gassing out a ghost dimension
- and I have some long term plans for Gwen Tennyson portal farting into Ben’s room. This one would be for January though because I’m planning to get this one Voice acted (instead of ai)
I’ve once again also considered adding a newer higher tier maybe to vote on the animatic for the month? I’m not sure yet. Pls let me know if interested.
Overall I’m excited about the prospects that all this new support has opened up!
TLDR: Wasn’t expecting so many new patrons from the animatics. I made enough money to support myself without commissions. So more free time. Will prob do more animatics. But worried about keeping new patrons !
