April’s Map Schedule - Update

Hello Adventurers! April is here and with it comes another 3 maps to create for you lovely people! I’ve been going through my list of map suggestions and come up with some ideas I think should be fun and useful:

Old Ale House - A versatile Tavern map with two floors. My very first map was a rustic country Tavern and since then I’ve not created another one. I feel tavern maps are always useful and I’d like to create one that can be used in a city or on the road.

Mushroom Village - Deep in the Underdark (or just some random cave) is a strange natural phenomenon, a forest of giant mushrooms. Within the very mushrooms live a tribe of creatures rarely visited by outsiders.

Sea of Grass - A meadow wilderness map with deep grasses, rolling hills, and the odd stone outcropping. I love the idea of making your way through grasslands that are so tall and dense it’s like an ocean of green with the odd rock sticking out of the landscape.

That's about it for the moment, thanks so much for the support, have a wonderful week and as always happy adventuring!

oh! Taverns would be nice! More more taverns!

Ya big cities always have a few different taverns and if your party stays in one location for long enough they are bound to have bar fights in at least half of them :P

Afternoon Maps

True Benjamin, The Underdark should be full of cool ass things like this!

Afternoon Maps

Ya I have done a few grassland style maps in the past but I think some with really tall grass would be fun!

Afternoon Maps

Hey Bob, you are right, Taverns are always useful and I think I will do another proper market at some point in the future.

Afternoon Maps

Thanks Nathan, this should be a fun one to work on :D

Afternoon Maps

There can never be too many Tavern maps!

grasslands for sure, but Mushroom forest is also really cool

Benjamin Keppel

Grassland would be neat. It's an underused biome I think.

I am new to Afternoon Maps, so I do not know what all you have made in the past. Thoughts and ideas on some maps. I agree that Inn, Taverns and the like, I can never have enough, I hate using the same tavern / inn map every time my party comes to an inn. I would put in my vote for shops and markets too. Outdoor markets pick a trade good and make a market; food, silk, baskets, weapons, furs, forest items, ...

Bob Schrempp

I'm running a hex crawl campaign and I really love the idea of anything that could make grassland encounters more interesting!
