Seven //thinks// far too much compared to the other characters lol what may require one offhand comment for Blake can be an entire paragraph for Sev haha
I've also fixed that Victoria bug that forces you to be romancing her to read! Sorry for my lack of responses. I usually respond to comments and such but I've been deep in the chapter 4 writing trenches :) I'll try to get back to it asap!

2024-12-07 06:22:57 +0000 UTCaW DAMN REALLY?? lmao guess i got very confused then. thanks for the clarification! and it's okay, i wasnt that excited; i love name-meanings and intertextual-parallels being done via names in fiction an unreal amount, in general, so i will react similarly to whatever Blake or G or so on's real name is, as i have already (albeit in private) with the characters whose names we do know already lol the names chosen for fictional characters are one of my favorite things to analyze, so i do it a lot and often; meaning, this was moreso me flexing a familiar muscle than me getting especially giddy (....but also i do have a generally excitable personality lol i can see why youd say "you seem very excited". i am just That Way in general lol) but i digress. thank you again for the clarification!! makes a lot of sense now why nobody else was freaking out over "Blake's real-name drop" lmaoooo edit: i just told my little sister about my mistake, laughing, and she said she now really wants Blake's name to turn out to be Paul just as a funny "fuck you" to me, specifically, and i agree

(/genuine question, please do let me know, i do have chronic memory loss and may have forgotten lol) because i did both m!Blake and f!Blake, and i love that the memory of their mama either way called them "Paul". i assume f!Blake's real name is therefore Paula or Paulina or something, but i LOVE a woman with a "male name" associated nickname (eg. Fredrika and Fred/Freddy/Freddie). that's so good. also the opportunity to nickname Blake/Paul "Paulie/Pauly" has the possibility to be so cute (because it is a cute nickname for MCs who are nice to Blake to use) and also so funny (because MCs who are lil shits to Blake can do "Paulie/Pauly want a cracker?" type jokes about Blake as a "parrot", that's so good, parrots and a musician, so good). my MC is a sweetheart who wouldnt do the parrot-joke, personally, but still because it's a forename that makes you (or maybe ✨️just me✨️) go "hUH?!! REALLY??? REALLY, BLAKE'S REAL NAME IS **PAUL**??¿? THAT DOESN'T FIT THEM AT ALL" and then you think about it for 5 seconds and you're like... "no, it does, actually" because Paul is one of those names where i personally feel it just 🌈Demands🌟 you say the person's full name. and like, other than the American-famous Paul Revere (who, y'know, warned people of dangers in advance lmao totally not parallely relevant) and also the American folklore of Paul Bunyan, almost all Pauls i know are musicians: Paul McCartney, Paul Anka, Paul Simon, Paul Russell, Paul Lewis,... can't forget famous actor and racecar driver, Paul Newman, of the famed "Cool Hand Luke", "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid", "The Sting", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", "The Hustler", and lol also he was Doc Hudson in Pixar's "Cars" series. Newman was also a famous anthropologist and political activist, and also has a really famous lemonade that is still sold today lol and i mention so much about him bc my mama loves his lemonade and my dad loves his movies. i dont know a lot about musicians, besides the obvious (hilarious considering this game). but until proven otherwise, im assuming Blake's mama was either a Paul McCartney girlie or a Paul Newman fangirl growing up lmao and then there's St Paul the Apostle whose Britannica entry is interesting (dude sure did "persecute" a lot. sounds familar. also it literally says "his contemporaries probably did not accord him as much respect as they gave Peter and James. Paul was compelled to struggle, therefore, to establish his own worth and authority" which Blake relates to in this very POV. also, considering Blake's lyricism, it is so funny that one of the things St Paul is the patron saint of is writing and publishing. amazing lol) also i realize my brother would get so mad at me if i didnt mention Paul Atredias, a fictional character from "Dune" (it's who Timothée Chalamet plays). he becomes a messiah and, uh, "A primary theme of Dune and its sequels is Frank Herbert's warning about society's tendencies to 'give over every decision-making capacity' to a charismatic leader. He said in 1979, 'The bottom line of the Dune trilogy is: beware of heroes. Much better [to] rely on your own judgment, and your own mistakes'." so. really Paul Atredias fits more into how Blake sees G, but to discuss more about Paul Atredias would potentially spoil the Dune movies for movie-only fans so, uhhhhh, feel free to look him up yourselves if you want more on how this guy parallels Blake so like. "Paul" is a wild name, at first, for Blake to have. but like. it fits. i buy it lol also, i looked it up out of curiosity on BehindTheName (best name website btw, love that everything gets peer-reviewed and fact-checked): "[Paul come f]rom the Roman family name 'Paulus', which meant 'small' or 'humble' in Latin" omfg that's so funny, that is both p true, and also so ironic (esp to Blake's haters), i love that anyway, yes, i am a Blake-romancer, and i am loving seeing more and more of their POVs, this is so great wild place to drop "Drama on this show, Paul. I mean it's expected" if this is the first time it has been dropped (bc again: im a forgetful bitch, albeit against my will). but like!! good, silly-at-first but poignant name!! cant wait to find out what Blake's true surname is, bc just saying "Paul" and not "Paul [Surname]" as someone who has never met a Paul irl??? feels weird in my mouth lol
