Always nice to see a show end with peak.

2025-11-21 07:40:32 +0000 UTCThere are actually two interesting facts about this movie, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus. First, it was based on a comic book with the same name. Second, when you mentioned it was the series finale, I don’t feel like it is. There was a movie called Invader Dib, which was about Dib becoming the ruler of Earth and Irken. Irken and Tak returned and joined him, and Zim would be tall and become the leader of Irken and Earth. He would be a hero, and there would be a cloaked figure who would help him. It would be an older Gaz who would become his love interest. However, the creator confirmed that there was no evidence about the idea. It’s a good idea because Dib wants to become the protector of Earth, but he became something he tried to destroy. Zim would be the hero. It’s already an idea that the creators should consider giving the series a great ending. I love the movie, and I look forward to your reactions to the next series.

2025-11-21 05:13:15 +0000 UTCThey actually animated the two Tak scenes (the second scene was one where you could see her shadow escaping from prison in the background), but the animation supposedly looked like shit. They could have sent them in for fixes, but decided it was better to just cut them for the reasons you mentioned.

2025-11-21 01:38:37 +0000 UTCIt's a great movie overall given how long it's been and the environments are very beautiful. Can't say I prefer the redesigns on some characters but to me it's more of a lateral move, and also it was probably a good thing they decided not to end it so conclusively "just in case" (though I'm sure the Tallest are still dead and/or dying perpetually even today). I liked a lot of the callbacks, some being subtle like repurposing a scene from scrapped episodes or Zim and Dib's shouting exchange like in the Mortos episode. I read somewhere that there was a scrapped scene of Tak coming out of the damaged ship post-credits, implying that the ship broke her out while causing a distraction at Moo-Ping 10, but it was removed because they didn't want to hard tease a sequel since there was no guarantee it'd be greenlit and they didn't want to force her inclusion in case the idea for a sequel changed over time.
