I am low key pissed what they did with Ambers character, I've seen other white male reactors reacting to Amber in the first season and I didn't like how causally they were calling her a bitch. Just disappointed, I do know she was white in the comics but ugh still hate what they did with her. :(

In the comics Amber is a white woman and i think they made her black in an attempt to make the show less homogenized. Plus Zazie Beetz - I mean c’mon, she’s amazing. So with that context I don’t think it falls into that trope, as she’d have been broken up with regardless. I do feel like they gave the break up more respect than it had in the comic. Literally the day they broke up Eve kicks down marks door and says are we going to date or what? - barely paraphrasing. The show has deviated a lot from the comic while hitting a lot of the same beats so it’s anyone’s guess if we see her again or not. Personally I’m ok with not seeing her again since the breakup seemed clean and Mark had the opportunity to talk to her after everything and chose not to. Seems like he’s respecting her wishes and the decision to part. 👩❤️👨
