The damage to the ship at the end of this filler is canon due to that being the damage from the encounter with Laboon and Wapol eating a part of the ship

If we think about it, Rapanui as an adult, he wants the events that he remembers as a kid to unfold as he remembers them. Because... it might be dangerous if things turned out differently. So it's "wise" for him to get out of the way and not change events as he remembers them. What does he remember? He remembers the Luffy pirates... and also he remembers the bad pirate Wetton who burned down the town which later he hears became mayor of. Also he saw old Wetton for a brief time wearing the fire suit. And from interactions with his old buddy Henzo he knows about the timeline and when things are supposed to happen. This could be the main reason he does not go back to Ruluka island until later when the Rainbow Mist is supposed to appear again. Only when the Rainbow Mist appears can things be set into motion and that's when the Strawhat crew and Luffy comes to help them. Going back to the island earlier could just mess things up?, also he was busy climbing in the Marines ranks as he said lol. So it can be explained that the Navy officer Rapanui did not do anything different so that he doesn't risk creating a time paradox. A time paradox is something like you go back in time and sleep with your grandparent so that your mother or father could be born and then they can give birth to you. So you become your own grandparent. There's something wrong with that and it could break things and may cause issues hitherto undreamt of. So you don't want to cause a time paradox if you don't have to.

I immediately gave the answer a thumbs down. They need the feedback and the A.I. misses the whole point entirely. I mean did we see Nami receive the books? I do remember she was told "you can have all these books" which the king said because he had already read them. I don't remember Nami with these books but we clearly see Robin reading them. I did not know there were "10" books and that Nami only got 9 of them. The funny scene when Luffy was interested in a book, it was Robin reading The Rainbow Mist and she closes the book on the table and we clearly see it is book 1 or Roman numeral "I" From that alone we can't infer that there are more than one book. In this arc it was a joke that Robin didn't have the next book or the last book. Then we see Igaram who finds a book marked "X" which is 10 in Roman numerals. It's possible that this is the only clue that there are 10 chapters or books... because as we know you can tell a story about a book... and then have a joke that oh the missing information is in the next chapter. That's perfectly fine and funny... but then if you show the last volume number that is when you finalize the total number of books. In internet searches it says Nami has 9 of the books but I bet that's just inferred... unless we clearly see a book numbered "IX" which I don't know if we see that but I clearly see the first book only marked "I" which Robin shows to Luffy and we see Igaram with a book marked "X" and the A.I. after much twisting of arms behind its back it agrees that these are the only two books that are clearly seen - can't trust A.I. though lol π you have to dig deep and it will contradict itself and apologize saying it is only playing a word game... it creates a string of words that makes sense but it actually doesn't understand. That is what deep dive looks like. But also this is the old generation of AI chatbots and the next generation coming in a few months will be a lot better. The A.I. is very helpful but you have to know its limitations.

2025-10-12 02:42:27 +0000 UTCI fell asleep watching and woke up in the middle where the monster was attacking Nami. And Flexi was talking about time travel. I was like, wait up let me rewind this to the beginning lol... And so that Marine in the beginning with the coin... He hit one of his own ships but he said something like that's how it's supposed to go. It's exactly like time paradox where someone knows of events that have yet to unfold. And they either make it happen or doesn't get in the way of it happening. So he was there in the shadows helping things out so that events will happen like they should. The writing of the book/books that Robin had been reading all long... Robin clearly said she got it from Alabasta but so I didn't realize... she said the story continues in the next book. So if that's the case then Igaram at present time finds the next book on the floor and he puts it back on the shelf. I maybe mistook that as a flashback and then it would be the very same book Robin was reading - but... if we compare the book covers, maybe... one is marked IX and the other X... but I haven't checked π (Edit - more in the reply)
