The whole of Naruto is people passing down rumors of their interpretation of events - then you find out the actual truth from the source. It was written this way specifically to give viewers that "wow, so that's what really happened" response. As for the Mangekyo thing, there's only a handful of Uchiha who appear in the show. Compared to when the Uchiha were plentiful, that would, indeed make it rare. It just "seems" everyone has it, because every Uchiha character we meet has unlocked it. That can be attributed to various factors like Danzo, Orichimaru, Kabuto and Obito's schemes.

2025-09-04 22:36:31 +0000 UTCThe Sharingan has been the unfortunate victim of a whole deal of rewriting due to powerspiking. And the second's explanation is more of the original intended Sharingan. At the beginning, not even all members of the Uchiha awakened the Sharingan. And the three-tomoe Sharingan was an indicator that the user was very skilled and powerful. The Mango on the other hand was rare, only a few select members of the Uchiha clan awakened it throughout the ages. But the more the show goes on the more Sharingans appeared and the Mango became sort of common too. I think originally Madara was the first Uchiha to awaken the Mango. Now everyone and their grandmother has it.

Always really enjoyed the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) power scaling that is done to imply how wildly strong he is. One that gets missed a lot: Hashirama does summon rashomon like Orochimaru did - but Orochimaru only summoned 3 in his fight with 4 tails naruto - and needed two hands to summon them. Hashirama summoned 5 on a whim with one hand.

2025-09-02 10:29:09 +0000 UTCthe most legendary interview of all time :D kinda makes me think who I would pick as a person from the past to interview :) its so fun seeing all the Hokage personalities on display here :) Tobirama the most badass in the room :D Hashirama being so powerful can afford to be so casual :) as they say do not meet your heroes xD Hashirama is very much an optimist while Tobirama is a realist :) love how they properly explained the Uchiha here, how their clan functions and what the conflict is about :) it sucks for the Uchiha that their power is very much linked to strong passion, that makes them dangerous and complicates their existence :P Hashirama with the respect for Itachi you love to see it :) also Orochimaru getting recognized he aint no slouch :D Hashirama and Madara were really fun together as children :) their childhoods though were so dark, poor boys :P their village dream makes perfect sense :)

Itachi awakened his mangekyo after losing his dearest friend Shisui. Obito awakened his after Kakashi lost his eye and also after witnessing Rin getting killed.
