2025-08-30 09:39:34 +0000 UTCThanks for the reaction! I always appreciate the attention to detail on these - it lets me just chill when I watch the episode on my own. I frequently think - " Ah I bet Flexie will catch a detail here, I'll just keep watching." To that point - While watching on my own, I couldn't help but think about the juxtaposition of clowns stereotypically being happy, with such a sad episode. And I kept trying to think ahead about what "acting" as a clown would be. When watching your reaction I think my thoughts solidified a little more: Clowns can be representative of Drama - the Comedy AND the Tragedy. Additionally, when you can see the future, you have to learn to walk through knowing what is going to happen, and to some extent learn to guide others through it too. The Future can include joys and sorrows. Super interesting and I'm very curious to see if the narrative will address this head on.

I cried reading it in the novel, and even though I knew it was coming the donghua made me sob for a good ten minutes after I finished watching the episode. I can’t thank the animation team enough. You’re one of the first reactors I’ve seen immediately catch onto the Hidden Sage being the eyes from episode 2, well done! You also caught that Old Neil was only hurting himself, leading him to be sick often. This entire episode makes me absolutely hyped and terrified for what’s to come.

Just to clarify, Seer pathway is like a JOB class(eg. magician), so Klein upgraded to Clown is like "magician" upgraded to "Fire magician", Klein is still inside Seer pathway, just that his jobclass got upgraded, hence he will still get affected by High Sequence beyonder in the Seer pathway.

Seriously recommend! If not, look forward to 10 years of a great anime because TRUST ME, everything after volume 2 / season 2 will be unreal! I want to say more but don't want to hint at anything and unintentionally spoil!

And it makes sense, because the only night that lasts forever is death. The goddess who possesses two full pathways. Corpse Collector for the dead body. And nightmare, oblivion for the spirit where even a sequence 7 starts to forget. Beautifully done.

Asceticism can also mean strict adherence to a code of conduct or principles. Usually it is about detachment from worldly desires but in this case I think the meaning is Moses order's strict adherence to "do as You wish but do no harm"

2025-08-16 14:58:52 +0000 UTCnon-spolier extra novel details: Daly is a famous spirit medium who is even mentioned in the newspapers. public doesn't know she is a beyonder or about her connection to supernatural world ,they just believe she is an spirit medium like we think of spirit mediums in our world . she is also famous within nighthawks for advancing very fast through potion ranks. when Klein first learn of the acting method from diary he immediately thinks how spirit medium(beyonder rank name) daly acts in public as a spirit medium(usual meaning) and how her progress was fast and associate that with acting method. That's one of his inspiration for being a seer on divination club

I cried in the last two episode (Algers Story and Neil losing his last old friend), but man did I cry in this one. Really great stuff to invoke emotions in such a way. 10/10 Episode. If they manage to adapt the rest of the story in such a way, the next 10 years are be to looked forward to as there are so many great and emotional episodes to be seen.

The Evernight church also has the seer pathway but its incomplete (meaning they only know a few but not all of them). As of now, we know that the church knows sequence 8 and 9. 3. The Evernight Goddess was the one who destroyed Antigonus family (who originally held the Seer pathway) This is the reason why some church has incomplete pathways. This recipes that belong outside the jurisdiction of the god they pray too - are probably obtained somewhere else, like how Evernight Goddess destroying the Antigonus family, thats probably when they got hold some of the recipes (either notes or channeling their spirit like we saw how Klein got his clown potion recipe). This is also the reason why the Reverend warned Klein the murmurs he hears from the same pathway, especially the high-sequencers. Since, the pathway does not originally belong to the Evernight Goddess, there are high chances that they are always not filled with good intent (either the Secret order/Antigonus family).
