They’re genuinely so sweet. All the supernatural stuff? Not their circus not their monkeys but on god they gonna help move the romance subplot along!!!! And we got a peak at another character in the ED this ep too!

Hayashi's are a set of Japanese instruments (most commonly 1 wooden flute and 3 types of taiko drums, but additional instruments and percussions could be added) that are played at Japanese festivals and Kabuki/Noh performances. Technically the Hayashi actually refers to the instruments themselves as the instrumentalists are called "Hayashi-kata." Since Japan's in the middle of summer festival season, if you get the chance to attend one and hear drums and a flute playing you can be like "Oh, that's a Hayashi!" since DanDaDan took some.....creative liberties......in its interpretation of a Hayashi. DanDaDan's official podcast releases in a couple of hours and I'm sure the song will be a point of conversation, but I wouldn't be surprised if they admitted to make the song similar to X Japan's "Kurenai" because it has a similar chord progression. By the way, the song that Chiquitita was singing in Ep. 4 was created on the fly by one of the animators.

He always apologises and thanks everyone, always gives compliments to oba-chan, and has so much positivity to give. Aira still has some catching up to do. I hope she'll experience a little more personal growth over the course of this season and mesh with the rest of the gang even more. The Hayashi concert was a banger! This episode was so much fun! I love Dandadan!

2025-08-07 23:52:27 +0000 UTCIn Japanese - since Jiji asked for the Evil Eye to not be exorcised, it is his "Selfishness", especially since it burdens Aira (who is the one claiming it). In Japanese, you have to look at use of this word from a different angle. This happens in many Anime. Objectively good and often selfless requests from our cultural standpoint are deemed selfish from Japanese cultural standpoint. Of course it is just usually looking at things through different lens, but the world "selfish" is often annoying when you see it in translation. But there isn't a better word to translate it to.

I think she and momo are already friends, but they are the same personality type (aggressive) and so they can't be chill around eachother

Seiko and Manjiro were talking about it at the first meal last ep and Momo was telling Okarun about it before her friends ambushed them in the streets lol There was also a glimpse of another new member of the Ganggagang this ep but it is quick. They are also in the ED ;)
