I don't know how many times I've seen Sasuke's and Itachi's final scene together, but it gives me tears every single time. Definition of unconditional love. And the scene with their parents is heartbreaking. Naruto is one of the greatest manga/anime of all time and foundational for so many because of scenes like this.

2025-07-28 07:17:05 +0000 UTCitachi is one of the worst written characters in naruto. this idea of moral relativism is rampant in naruto when it comes to itachi, orochimaru, tobi, pain, kabuto, etc. It's just not how the real world works and it's not even idealistic. It completely disregards any critical thinking because you hear a sob story and think the character is cool. you cannot justify for one second that what itachi did was justified from any perspective. whether it be ethical or utilitarian. a lot of people have a love boner for itachi because they thought the character was cool when they grew up watching the show, not because they think his actions were in any way justifiable, heroic or redeemable. you can't just forgive bad actors, by doing so you minimize the suffering of the victims. think for one second and question why itachi did what he did. he involved people who were not related to this supposed "coup" and if all it took was for 1 guy to end this, then they weren't much of a threat in the first place.

2025-07-19 09:30:40 +0000 UTCPeople who say that the quality fall after the pain arc are not totally wrong, but it has more to to with analyzing the writing critically than just the events. I mean, the war has shown us amazing events until now such as real Madara, Itachi, and others. But also has problems, one of them is this fight, I mean Izanami was a convenient jutsu that appeared in this episode to defeat Kabuto. Moreover, the story of Izanami/Izanagi also contradicts some of the things that were said before such as that Izanagi was used with combination of Senju/Uchiha (what Danzo and Tobi had), but now we see that every Uchiha could use it xD.

Defining his character and those hes impacted directly. Hes attempting to rehabilitate kabuto, and give sasuke closure, all the while keeping his promise to naruto to end the edo tensei. He is, The actual goat of the series.

Brilliant writing kabuto still live by the rules of his adopted family

All the problems started with the Uchiha (Madara, etc.), but Danzo is just as bad, so Tobi (another problematic Uchiha member) blaming the Leaf for the massacre is hilarious. The Leaf isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t deserve to be blamed for the Uchiha massacre, nor did the Uchiha deserve to be annihilated by other Uchiha members and Danzo.

2025-07-14 06:42:48 +0000 UTCThe Uchiha clan was strong, but I think they would've been wiped out anyway. Tsunade, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Hiruzen... They probably would have been enough to wipe them out. Plus Kakashi and Gai were already strong. Gai trained to be able to beat the sharingan and avoid genjutsu. The problem was that the 9-tails disaster happened recently and they couldn't take another hit and be vulnerable to attacks from other villages.

During OG Naruto we see that his dad was always like “be like your brother, be like your brother.” When Sasuke asked his mom about it, she said “when it’s just the two of us, he talks about you so much” (more or less). And here Sasuke can see that his father cared enough to tell Itachi to take care of him.

And as we know so far, that would have meant, Tobi, Orochimaru and the other villages, in hope to secure the nine tails and potentially get rid of the Hyuga clan at the same time. Thats a lot on the line off the top of my head.

2025-07-13 17:52:16 +0000 UTCI feel like you need to understand one thing about the Uchiha. You said Danzo assumed that they would be wiped out when they could potentially wipe THEM out. That's a stretch. First thing is, not every Uchiha has a Sharingan, granted it's not "rare", there are people who never awakened one. The Mangekyou though is very rare. Danzo was being actually rationnal and fair when he said that they would lose.

Cringe to say but this show helped me through my bullshit (sasuke) phase. Where my own parents weren't there, this show taught me how to deal with pain and grief and get over it by accepting myself for who I am, flaws and all. That final scene with Itachi in tears broke me and still does.

2025-07-13 13:59:35 +0000 UTCwhen Kabuto said he kept adding to himself he meant that literally, he turned into a freakshow :P but at least we got some cameos here :D Im sure you must have been thrilled to see both Kabuto and Orochimaru as one xD Itachi has lived quite an eventful life and managed to gather a lot of wisdom :) with the way Itachi explained the Izanami he could be your editor xD I like how they did the Izanami flashback that was dope :) Naori Uchiha seemed cool wouldnt mind seeing more of her, with that purple hair she was similar to Yugao :) that was unexpected how they connected Kabuto's flashback to the present, was a pleasant surprise :) what a great job they have done with Itachi's character he now feels like a real hero :) am glad that Sasuke and him got to say goodbye properly, even though it was painful :P was also amazing to finally see the Uchiha massacre properly from Itachi's perspective and just how horrible it was for him, as he said before some realities might just be illusions :)
