I cannot believe a new 10 episode series was JUST ANNOUNCED!!! We're gonna have to get our hearts stomped on all over again lol I'm not ready yet - but I AM excited to hear that there is more Edgerunners content yet to come.

Lucy said cyberpunks will be remembered how they die instead of how they lived, so she doesn't want David to become one. However, in the end she remembers David by how he lived not how he died, even though David Became a cyberpunk after all. 2. Doc said after using up all the strengthened meds he gave David, no matter how special David is he was bound to lose himself. Even after using all the meds, Luch managed to help David remain himself by kissing him. Lucy was David's last dose of medicine.

2025-08-20 10:59:22 +0000 UTCYou know, it's not my favorite anime. He's still in my top 5 don't get me wrong, but not my favorite. Yet, among all the animes, tv shows, movies, etc, that I've watched, it's probably the one that marked and affected me the most. I just felt so empty for about 2 weeks after the first watch. And can't rewatch it without crying again. And before I watched it, I was changing my pc wallpaper about once or twice a month. But since I watched it, my wallpaper became the beautiful shot of Lucy and David kissing in front of the moon. I never changed it since then, and can't get my head around changing it. I wouldn't say that the anime is objectively perfect. But it's certainly an emotional master piece for sure. Nothing else struck me down like it. Frieren made me cry a lot for how beautiful, sad and wholesome it is. But Cyberpunk Edgerunners broke my soul.

I also wanted to point out that all those flying cars were a reference to the game's buggy start as you would see similar things go down when it started glitching out.

2025-07-26 22:37:56 +0000 UTCIn the game they added loads of easter eggs for these characters: they have a drinking bar for edgerunners to meet up, they have a 'legends of NC' menu where you can buy the david martinez cocktail, as well as getting his moms jacket. You can also find rebeccas gun where she dies, and you can talk to Falco to try and learn more about David. And theres a memorium with a image of the whole og crew: Maine, Dorio, Pilar, Kiwi etc.

I have almost a thousand hours in the game and this anime is still a gut punch every time. Also, its probably too soon but amazon sells an Adam Smasher mug/Rebecca coaster combo :)

I came from youtube, found u by accident, and ur channel, insight and reactions were the reason I created a patreon and subscribe to someone for the first time. I have to say that u make my money worth every penny. I just saw that u uploaded the Cyberpunk and i haven't watch that anime again since its release. This anime broke me for like a month and i still cry every time i listen to "I really wanna stay at ur house". At the moment i write this comment i have not watched ur reaction because i need to mentally prepare myself for this but i'll update this with a reply when i'm finished. Going to take my time tho. This anime is just... beatiful in the best and worst way possible.

2025-07-16 19:11:07 +0000 UTCRebecca's death was the only thing that truly got to me when I saw this show. If you think about it, she's the only one who truly cared about him. His mother tried to make him live her dream, and so was Lucy in a way. Rebecca was the only one who was completely honest about who she was and how she felt, always there when he needed her, and accepted him for who he was even if it was torture having to watch him go through all of that. The ending of the show wasn't much better, though. Lucy walking around on the moon felt empty. After all, she's all alone and it doesn't really hold much meaning without David there as well. And to make it even worse, do we really expect Arasaka to forget about her after all of her buddies have been eliminated and she's all by herself? They know who she is and they probably know exactly where she went. The ending shots of the show are probably her last remaining moments in relative freedom.

One thing I love about this show is that afterwards when you watch the opening sequence that plays each episode, it shows what's going to happen. You see David walking, using the sandy, and you see his eyes changing back and forth from normal to psycho. Then at the end he dies.

The song that plays during David's fight: "I really want to stay at your house" was just one of the many songs that played on the in-game radio in Cyberpunk 2077, not even that popular either, but after this anime aired it became a literal Pavlov's Bell. Imagine you're just casually cruising through Night City and then this songs comes on the radio and you just start crying all of a sudden like someone flipped a switch. Happens to me every time I play.

2025-07-07 00:34:02 +0000 UTCDavid already had his arms and legs replaced. So getting into the cyber skeleton just required disconnecting them. Its not like that machine itself cut up his body. Its just plugging into what he's already done to himself. He presumably could have disconnected himself I think and put his other limbs back on. I could be wrong, but that's how I understand it working.
