in David's arms Lucy found comfort yet she was a million miles away for David's sake.

30:15 "I REALLY WANT TO STAY AT YOUR HOUSE" a song about on again off again relationship. When David hugged Lucy, she was a million miles away listening in to hacked intel. i wonder if its an analogy that David felt she was a million miles away even if she is there in his arms. After Maine died she probably limited her intimacy with David growing more distant even though they live together. David gave her space. even though they have a romantic relationship, even though they live together, Lucy probably kept her distance.

Also, for those who know: 23:15 - she definitely ain't chippin' in, haha!

No, that's actually true. The holo implant interprets your thoughts in real time, but it does have a bit of a lag to compensate for your thought process when you're forming sentences, and it's not perfect. In the case of netrunners like Kiwi or Lucy it often skips words or entire sentences instead giving the closest approximation, because they think at a speed that the implant can't handle. In the case of Wakako she weighs every word she says and changes her mind on what to say next, so the implant compensates by repeating the same word. You can also see it when characters are stressed or not thinking clearly - the implant just glitches out sometimes. Which is a very clever, if a bit obscure way to telegraph someone's state of mind.

In regards to the dialog between Lucy and Kiwi...have you ever been writing (or typing, I've done it there too) something down, and you suddenly realize that you either skipped writing a word, or didn't completely finish it because you were thinking what words came next so fast that your hand can't keep up? Well as a writer, that scene was like a literal slap in the face, because that's the perfect personification of what that's like. You think, because you did think it all, that you got it all written down, only to proof read it and realize only about 2/3s of it makes sense. Really hoping its not just me lol.
