He's basically saying he has no personal dreams or ambitions, and doesn't care if he is used as a tool and abandoned. It's the opposite of Naruto completely.

Back when the show was still airing the community theorised who he was which ended up being correct so the surprise didn't hit as much for me personally. Although the community also theorized that Pain was Minato so it was still crazy once it was confirmed haha.

I told my friend, who also watched the show, and he was all "NOPE....it came out in the manga, he's Madara" I told him I didn't think so. I was so sure I knew who he was, before he even claimed he was Madara in the show. Turned out I was right. Once it was revealed, my friend pretended we never had the argument about who I thought it was, lol. Looking forward to the reaction of that episode.
