Look into Myofascial Release, at a clinic that primarily works on clothed bodies. I highly suggest looking into reporting this specific therapist to whatever national cert organization he belongs to in Canada. What you described is straight up malpractice as fuck, and just really not good. I feel at the least you would be able to get your money back?

2024-09-07 11:40:28 +0000 UTCthe whole bidet/toilet paper thing is honestly just a cultural difference and both work to serve their purpose if you do the cleaning correctly. there’s also differences of a country’s climate— if there’s a long history of water scarcity then naturally the culture when it comes to cleaning efficiently is using as less water as they could which changes when you’re put in an environment where that is no longer as big of an issue, if that makes sense. then there are cultures where wearing deodorant isn’t really something people out focus on like at all because body odor is a lot more tolerated, so when you move into a country where thats seen as something important, adapting is easier

2024-09-07 11:25:36 +0000 UTCgreat question! like he corroborated in the podcast, some cultures dont even use loofahs or wash cloths and its more traditional to just use a bar of soap and call it a day lmao and its only been a few years that i learned how unhygienic that was in terms of actually getting the dirt off. then i learned about the whole switching out loofahs thing in horror lmao. honestly more than it being an immigrant ‘thing’, little knowledge of proper hygiene i would tie it back to either big families and/or meager income because you’re taught to use things until they just no longer serve their purpose (which is more harmful than sufficient hygiene wise)

It’s kind of comforting but scary at the same time. I would also recommend anxiety medication if it’s that overbearing to think about your future, nothing wrong with accepting you don’t feel okay currently and it won’t be like this forever trust me, eventually life will be so certain it will get boring.
