this arc and forward for me is why DB is the OG shounen. You can feel that this arc was toning down in the gag comedy (more obvious in the manga bc of dub). I'm a one pace defender and i'm not the type that holds to nostalgia, yet i'm team DBZ. Kai isn't bad for a rewatch but it lacks heart. Samurai x and Shaman King got the remake treatment too and both of them have the same problem. This 3 remakes feels like it wasn't animated by fãs weirdly enough. No vote on dub or sub since i watched in pt-br when i was younger

2025-07-04 01:49:53 +0000 UTCI like both sub and dub - though sometimes stuff they think for dub is a bit too cringey. What is most important to me is to be consistent. As a sub watcher, I do think that we should stay with dub.

2025-06-21 20:15:52 +0000 UTCFlexie is constantly second guessing the choice to go dub but I would bet people voted based on DBZ dub. Dragon Ball dub really is kinda cringy and stuff at times. But in my opinion and most other people in here (given the poll) think that DBZ is far superior in dub. And that's not even nostalgia talking because I did not grow up with the English dub. The fact of the matter is that the choice of sticking with child VA for grown up Goku is very jarring.
