Don't feel bad for pausing and talking. There aren't enough reactors online that really just let their thoughts pour out the way you do. I've had to pause and reflect/emote/freak out the way you do MANY TIMES throughout my watchthroughs of this series. Watch it exactly how you need to and react exactly the way you need to. It's all about having the most authentic experience you can for One Piece. Don't let stigma or anything else stop you from reacting the way you feel like. One Piece is a very special thing and however you break it down it's all how we experience it personally that makes it the best story ever written.

2025-05-03 10:43:17 +0000 UTCThe whole nakama thing is just kind of cringey really. It originates from really old fan subs and it's just taken way too far. Friend is really the closest thing to a translation and it ain't even that far off. I've been a part of this fandom for 2 decades at this point and I wouldn't really take it too seriously. I believe the old fansubs would say that nakama stands for something like "bonds that go depper than blood". It's also a word used in just about every other shounen battle manga. Naruto would constantly use it and let's be honest. He wasn't even that close with most of the dudes from his village.
