Well, yes and no. It's very kind that her father and brother are trying to protect her because they believe women are more valuable than men and therefore men should be the ones giving up their lives to protect women. This is a very honorable way of thinking and sadly in the west some people are trying to fight back against it. However, in this particular case it's not really justified because she's the exception to the rule. Nowadays, most women don't fight at the front line because biology is a real thing, but there are always exceptions to the rule and we should allow those, I think.

2025-04-15 20:17:17 +0000 UTCThe fan service doesn’t really affect me as much and I can understand how it can take you out but I feel like Maki’s brother, Takigi, out dated thinking doesn’t because it’s pretty realistic issue. Even now in our society, we advance so much but they’re still men who think like that sadly 👎🏻 It’s crazy because as you saw in the episode, when Maki and Takigi work together, they’re soooo powerful!! 💯 I’m interested to see how their dynamic will grow along with everything else in the show with you
