2024-01-16 04:24:54 +0000 UTCi’m very late and i’m just commenting for fun but i think with you empathizing w women who have been sa now more is like a thing of. idk like it seemed like u were trying to articulate the fact that yes, you always empathized with victims and took their side and stuff but after this experience u like. idk just genuinley understood it a bit bc let’s be real empathy is great but honestly sa and stuff is usually beyond non victims, especially male non victims bc they just don’t know what it’s like to have their autonomy taken away, and even though u said u COULD have done this or that or whatever, to an extent, be it because of liek fear or discomfort or embarrassment, u didn’t have any autonomy in this situation and felt trapped just as others have. so i think u were trying to say u crossed the bridge between empathy and understanding. or maybe u just stuttered idfk

It's so upsetting how universal it is to feel so much regret and shame after experiencing something as dehumanising as SH. Although it's a v normal stage, try not to fall into downplaying your experience too much bc it does make processing it all little more difficult in the long run and it may hit you even harder if you realise in the future instead of closer to when it happened. Alsooo dwww, sympathising with ppl from an outside perspective is never going to be the same as experiencing the empathy that comes with being subjected to certain situations and having to feel the emotions unique to it. Both are very human & normal. The issue is with ppl that refuse to even sympathise with others. I have so much to say about the growth of you and this podcast despite only finding it 3 weeks ago 💀 but I'll save that for when I send something in bc I've been meaning to & this is TOO long omg 😭. Anyways, You're acc doing amazing Hamzah and I look forward to more of your streams of consciousness. Pls be kind to yourself ♡

I wouldn’t put it past that creep if he follows you or tries to get back at you for the reviews, etc. Honestly, it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to go back to the restaurant. Maybe change your route so you don’t have to pass by it. file a police report? Either way hopefully he gets what’s coming to him.
