2025-10-15 21:02:23 +0000 UTC1:22:03 the part where he had to rely on drugs is something that gets expanded upon in the novels, he took them to prolong the life of his eyes but the side effect was the illness. Sacrificing his life in order to keep protecting sasuke until he was ready.

Loving someone also means not being okay with them being exploited, even if they accepted it. So while Itachi wanted peace through his own choices, Sasuke’s anger was natural: it was grief, guilt, and love twisted together. You don’t just calmly “respect” a loved one’s sacrifice when it looks to you like they were used and destroyed by a corrupt system.

2024-10-10 14:51:06 +0000 UTCYea I think that’s valid and they’re afraid of the Uchiha cuz they’re powerful but u could make an argument for both sides cuz the Uchiha wanted their power back since they lost the war hence the plotting, which would lead to war within the village, and Itachi doesn’t like war so he chose to side with Konoha, I don’t think there’s a clear and black and white in terms of fault, which is intentional. Although my view may be biased cuz I’ve watched the rest of the series.

2024-10-09 00:33:04 +0000 UTCCouple of things to actually remember here. 1, the entire history of the shinobi world can be boiled down to less than 100 years. It's an extremely short period of time, especially when you consider there have been 3 world wars at this point. After the declaration of the one nation one village system, and the world essentially entered a period of peace. Even during the peaceful times, this world is completely overrun by violence and war. That adds a lot to the development of a lot of the sadistic characters we run into through the entire Naruto series. No body but the very youngest generations remember a time without open warfare. 2, Itachi made Sasuke hate him as much to drive him forward, as he did to shield him from Danzo. By instilling a deep seated and overwhelming sense of hatred and vengeance, even Danzo couldn't make Sasuke out to be a complicit in anything that had been going on. 3, despite the oddity in the word selection, teleportation in Naruto means moving "really really" fast away. It's the jutsu everyone uses when they disappear in a puff of smoke or whatever. A transportation technique is what we english speakers would traditionally call a "teleportation" ability. Which is literally disappearing entirely from one physical location, and instantaneously transporting, and then reappearing in a second location. They kinda try to make that point when Tobi is giving Zetsu shit for being late getting to Sasuke and Itachi. But it's subtle and extremely vague considering Zetsu also has an unexplained ability to move from one place to another by wiggling around in the ground 🤔
