the street exchange in the mortos episode is even funnier after learning that they didn't animate any traffic between Dib and Zim despite still adding in traffic noises, so they were both just yelling at each other like that for no reason. as for the tallest, the theory probably stemmed from an invader zim panel at SDCC where the tallest red VA, Wally Wingert, postulated that they ARE tiny irkens in mech suits even though he also likes the idea that they are just mutated to be taller. Jhonen himself hasn't really confirmed or denied either idea, even when asked. Concept art for an unfinished episode also showed 2 previous tallest that died during Operation Impending Doom I, so in an ironic twist if it wasn't for zim the current tallest wouldn't be where they are right now.
