If you didn’t realize, this show was groundbreaking and significant in American animated television for its portrayal of the first same-sex relationship in a popular cartoon. The series depicted a romantic relationship between the female protagonists, Korra and Asami, which was a milestone for queer audiences, especially young viewers, in an era when such representation in mainstream media was scarce. Even though they didn’t kiss in 2014, their relationship was confirmed in the comics. I like to share this fact with you, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the next series. Take care.
