Jake has alot of Actually inspiring messeges in adventure time, in the Jermain episode he was talking about how all the shapes are always changing and that if we know the shape of our soul, we'll be alright.

Don't crash out just yet. As for the stuff with Marceline's story, it's what you guys thought, it's just her retelling what happened to her right before the start of Elements, but in a quirky and less than truthful way. She regrets not being able to save PB and she basically made up the stardust explosion at the end, likely because she's embarrassed or ashamed she got changed too.
