I really like seeing your sad/tense expressions during the Agni Kai, because I feel like that's what they wanted to show with it with the score chosen for it. Although it is action packed (for ATLA) with beautiful scenes, it is a tragedy.

But after the live action movie performed so badly, Nickelodeon decided not to pursue the project. As a result, the creators wrote a comic book series explaining what happened to Zuko’s mom instead.

Whether you read them before or after Korra, doesn't really matter, you can watch The legend of korra without reading the comics
