Btw, did you guys know there’s a series of Steven Universe shorts on YouTube? I hope you guys would consider reacting to them because they’re only 10 videos (2 minutes long for each video) which means the whole reaction would be 20~ minutes long 👀 here’s the full playlist 👍 https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLinmeLIP6rXKBKhWrKU_7nNJDgYM2qqHq&si=HfsGmOqMnXU3-qFc

2025-05-27 21:47:16 +0000 UTCThanks for taking a chance on this beautiful show and providing this reaction series. Future really aged well. At the time, a good chunk of the fans weren’t satisfied as they weren’t ready to have Steven deal with his trauma. Rebecca Sugar seemed to have needed some years to recover from her experience running both series and the film. I think it took a lot out of her and the fandom didn’t make it easy. She did an interview shortly after Future ended and she said she wasn’t sure if she wanted to do another series because she no longer felt comfortable prying into Steven’s life. I know it sounds silly, but I get where she’s coming from. She and the Crewniverse really put a lot of themselves and their own experiences healing from trauma and other issues into the show, and Steven went through such an emotional roller coaster of a journey that it felt too real to her. In a way, she wanted Steven to have peace. However, now it’s been like 5 years since Future ended, and maybe she is now ready to revisit. There are some rumors that this show may get some sort of revival. Her husband, and member of the Crewniverse, Ian Jones-Quartey has been really hyping the show up recently, and it was one of the most watched shows on streaming services last year. It has been enjoying a renaissance of sorts and as a fan of the show since the beginning when it was airing in real time on CN, I’ve noticed more younger folks reacting to this show and really understanding it in a way that a good proportion of the original fanbase did not. Maybe with all of that happening, Sugar and the rest of the Crewniverse might be ready to return to this world.

2025-05-23 05:23:27 +0000 UTCI love the fact that Steven actually (and proudly?) admitted to shatter Jasper’s gem and nearly making White Diamond off herself while they were assimilated. the “break-up” between him and Connie definitely flipped a switch in his mind and soul; also can we agree that corrupted Steven kind of looks like Godzilla. This was an emotional roller coaster of a series, thank you for reacting to it.

2025-05-22 10:38:45 +0000 UTCAnd yesss y'all should def check out Amphibia. It follows the great trend of starting off more silly & episodic then turning into a plot heavy cartoon. Also has some of the darkest moments in recent kids TV.

2025-05-22 00:51:55 +0000 UTCFun fact: When Steven was crying, that was his actual voice actor crying too. I've seen this episode so many times over the years since it came out, but fuck that part still gets me.

2025-05-22 00:40:38 +0000 UTCI would say Steven universe is one of the 4 main shows of cartoon network along with Adventure time, Tawog and Regular show, it's sad to see the finale, it's been an amazing journey ❤️

2025-05-21 10:44:58 +0000 UTCI'm really glad you guys liked the series because it was one of the most controversial cartoons on the internet for years. If you're looking for another show like this in terms of story and feels, I'd suggest "Amphibia"; it also has a lot of "Gravity Falls" type humor since the creator worked on that show too.
