The Globetrotters are actually still around! They aren't as relevant anymore, but they are super important to basketball history. Their thing has always been putting on shows that center around basketball tricks and funny antics. Think like a circus, but all basketball lol. But they've been a things since the 1920's and are responsible for creating certain moves like the slam dunk and fast break! I honestly recommend checking out a highlight reel or something.
