2025-04-25 19:27:35 +0000 UTCThe nations are loosely based off Asian countries and cultures. The fire nation is Japan, the earth kingdom is China, the air benders are the Tibetan monks, and I think water benders are Inuit? In addition the bending styles use some real martial art movement types

2025-04-24 09:43:37 +0000 UTCThey are traveling through the Earth Kingdom right now, so that's why there are so many earth-benders around. If you look at the map in the intro, you'll see that the Earth Kingdom (the green land) is absolutely enormous compared to the other nations.
