It wasn't just that this show's creator worked on Dexter. The guy who made Dexter's Lab also came over to this show to help him out while he was still learning to run a show. The two of them co-directed every episode of PPG's first season together, plus a bunch of later episodes (you can almost always spot his episodes because he sneaks a Dexter's Lab reference in somewhere). Rob Renzetti (My Life As a Teenage Robot) is in Dexter's Lab's credit's constantly, too. He's the one who keeps writing the "bad" episodes.
