(Scary) Snow Day
Added 2021-02-15 07:14:15 +0000 UTCDallas is experiencing extreme cold temperatures like never before. Biden even declared a state of emergency because we weren’t prepared. Our pool pump’s freeze guard couldn’t handle hours of 10-degree weather that a sheet of ice started forming. My mom and I bundle up, dump boiling pots of water in the pool, and use a pool brush to break up the ice. We have a few jets to make sure the water circulates. One is frozen, one is barely pushing out water, and one works fine. We’ve done this a few times already. It’s fun to do, but replacing pipes and/or the pool pump just sucks. Also....how about those birds going crazy with the pool this morning?
