Thank You Patrons Q&A

Hey folks!

"Thank You Patrons Day" is coming on November 19th, and we thought a good way to thank you for all you've given us is by answering your questions in a patrons-only special!

So, from now until Sunday, November 17th, feel free to drop questions in the comments below. On Monday, we'll pool all your questions together and answer them (to the best of our ability) in a video we'll publish on Thank You Patrons Day!

So get your Q's together, we'll prep our A's, and try not to be D's about it!

What is the Status of Dragonball Z Abridged Buu Saga?

Avrian Towns

Awesome! I can't settle on just one question, so I'm going to ask several, but please don't feel obligated to answer them all! - What's the most important piece of advice you wish you could give your past selves, back when TeamFourStar was first starting up? - Maybe this overlaps a lot with the last one, but what are some of the biggest lessons you've learned from the process of turning TFS from a hobby into a business? - Do you have any plans for organizing more regular patrons-only streams, even if they're just once per month? (No offense intended, and I definitely don't regret continuing to give you guys my support, but it has been a LITTLE disappointing that (to the best of my knowledge) there haven't been any in the three months since the Patreon rennovation, even though they're specifically mentioned in the Gold Dragon tier.) - How did Kirran, Grant, and Zito end up becoming a part of TFS? (I'm sure this has been told at conventions and such, but I never had a clear picture) - What was it like when you first started getting the chance to do some professional voice-acting? Does anyone have any interesting stories to tell about their earliest experiences with the traditional industry? - What does a typical work day for a TFS member actually look like? - Does TFS plan to reupload anywhere content that's been lost since the video-hosting component of your website was discontinued? (The main ones that I'm aware of are the TIBA judges' commentaries and older episodes of the TeamFourStar podcast. I know not a lot of people would care much, but I hate seeing good content disappear forever.) - Of the many TFS projects and series, are there any in particular that surprised you with either how much or how little popularity they found, relative to your expectations?

Who came up with Alucard's one-liners in Hellsing Abridged and how did you manage to make Integra even more badass than she was in the original?

Artemis

Yes, the secret project first evoked by Taka 2 yers and a half ago, if I recall correctly

rabrac

What are your current plans for the TFS YouTube channels?

Joey

What lead you to choose certain voices for the cast in DBZA? As in like Krillin’s goofy sounding voice(which I love by the way) or Kami’s bored grandpa as I like to call it.

Sweep Master85

I’d like to start by saying thank for all the work you guys have done. I’d like to ask if there are any plans to bring back Anime FMK in any way shape or form? Or any other kind of anime review?

Trevor.C94

Hello TFS, first of all I'd like to say thankyou for all the excellent content and entertainment you've given me over the years including opening my eyes to how fun DnD can be. I've a few questions though. First of all, you guys initially did a vote on which of three franchises you'd complete, metal gear won in the end but will you still play through all of the Devil May Cry or Castlevania franchises in the future ? Secondly will Zito or TFS as a whole ever consider streaming a game of Warhammer : Age of Sigmar since theres a few fans in your company ?

James Green

Whatever became of that wrestling project Taka was talking about?

BasilTheLovable

First, thanks for providing quality entertainment over the years, your videos got me through some trying times. As for the question, so I'm aware that one of your major goals is original animation, and your recent shorts (DragonShortZ and the MHA one for Kai 3) is a testament to that, but that is a long term goal. What are you looking at in the medium term, for the Gaming channel specifically? More playthroughs? More one-shots? Or do you eventually plan to phase it out altogether?

SRIJITH R

Do any members have any plans, personal or professional, for the upcoming holiday season they would like ta share?

SanosukeDA

First things first I just wanna say you all have brought so much joy and laughter for me and my friends/family over the years. As for the question: have you guys ever had a moment where you had a writers block for any of your series? And if so how bad was it?

LoverofAll

Who cracks up the most while recording lines? Who is responsible for the most bloopers, and what is the best one that comes to your mind?

JesterOfFire

With DragonShortZ now being a thing, are you happy about being able to exercise more creative freedom? Do you ever feel constrained by your obligation to create more DBZA and wish you were able to focus on other projects more directly?

Ethan

What are each of your dreams for the future of Team Four Star, if you could do anything with no limits? Maybe becoming the next Funimation, Nerdist, Rooster Teeth, ect or all of the above!

GeoEmperor

Hey guys. First off, thank you for providing the incredible content for over 10 years. Question. I remember when you guys started TFS at the Table that there would be audio recordings for those of us who can't find the time to watch it live or the archives. What ever happened to the idea, and why? Sorry if this has been answered in the past and I'm just catching up to speed.

James Peralta

What was the scariest part of starting up your company and what’s currently the most rewarding?

Moonkey

Absolutely loved the first Episode of DragonShortZ, can't wait for more. SPEAKING of humorous dubs: what's your favorite in-universe Fun Fact from the comically inaccurate early dubs? Mine is that Raditz moves "faster than the speed of light."

Dr. Judge, Private Eye

Personally, I'd like to know how you set things up for the gaming. I tried using OBS but I never could get my mic and audio to work on it. I hear lots of talk about you guys using that and Stream Labs, so I guess, if possible, I'd like a guide or rundown of how to do this stuff on the level you guys are able to, or at least something that any single streamer can put together really. If that's not something you answer, I understand, but I thought I'd try anyway. You all are awesome and I've loved watching each of, even before you all became TFS, so thanks for all the fun and laughs throughout the years! You all inspire me to do better and be better. Thanks for everything, and I'm looking forward to everything you do.

Thomas Hendrikx

Greetings from Germany to Team Four Star. First of all thank you for all the hours of entertainment. You often brighten up my day with your incredible content! I would like to know how it was for you personally working together with friends. Was the transition from, only being friends to also being co-workers, in any way challenging for you?

Anne Luise Wagner

Thanks for being awesome. Both in-person and on the internet. And as far as my not-really-a-question: Thoughts on Hazbin Hotel?

Kinan Eldari

First off, thank you guys so much for all the entertainment over the years. When did it dawn on your group that what you were doing had grown beyond just a hobby/passion project?

Ria

Have you guys ever given any thought to writing a book (about whichever subject you desired, of course)?

M B

What is your vision of DBZ abridged? Finish every saga? Move on to DB Super? Shift gear to original animation like the uncle nappa? Or something else?

Jonathan Holt

Thank you guys so much for all you've done. Back when you guys were in the final stretch of season 2, I was really depressed. In that period, I would watch season 2 over and over again as it was one of the only things that made me laugh during that period, and sometimes it was the only thing that could get me to smile at all during bad days. The TFS Namek saga will always have a special place in my heart. So again, thank you guys so much for helping me fight my depression and come out of the hole a happier person. As for my question, I recognized a few sound effects used throughout DBZA from StarCraft 2. The Sentry noise and the Protoss Warping in particular during the second Cooler movie. I'm a big StarCraft fan, so what's the story behind that? Did Kaiser play some StarCraft 2 one day and decide that would be a cool sound for the show? Or did he just like looking through the Galaxy Editor as a resource? Or did someone else suggest it?

James Upton

Don't really have a question, but I wanted to thank you guys for everything you have done all these years. I discovered your videos during a rough patch in my life and immediately fell in love. From your abridged content to even your original stuff, you never fail to put put a smile on my face.

KBahl

What are things you guys desperately want to work on in the future?

Douglas Pluylaar

I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you guys have done when I have a bad day I put on one of your videos and it makes my day Worth it

Richard James

What are the chances that you will be able to, some day, make an original cartoon with your TFS style of humor?

andSam

BOJACK

jonlee odani

Why are you guys so damn cool?

Lavos

How has moving into your own studio helped your creative process? What's become easier?

MaKaila

Can you give a number of how many projects are currently going on in the background

Chris Coffee

How do you motivate yourselves if you end up in a writer's slump?

Cody Parrish

What is the current status of Taka’s wrestling parody series?

Chris Coffee

With the conclusion of the current run of TFS at the Table drawing ever so near, I was curious if prep for a new campaign has begun or if there will be a break to focus on a few one-shots?

Patrick Miller

You can redo one thing and only one thing about DBZA season one (this “one thing” is as broad as you choose to interpret it). What do you redo?
