FYI, if you see Dong eun only eating kimbap, it’s because she has trauma from the sound of a hair straightener, the sizzling sound from the pan when cooking reminds her of the straightener burning her skin.

The fact is, that this is based on real life story and if you want to find out more about this i would highly recommend watching Stephanie Soo's video '2006 Cheongju Curling Iron Case - Real Story Behind "The Glory"' on Rotten Mango youtube channel! I love this woman so much you have no idea she really goes into depth with every case... About the glory itself...yeah i get the cursing no worries lol...when i first watched it I already knew about real life case but it still made me mad af! and yeah live laugh love moon dong-eun!

I enjoyed the video. You can go ahead and continue curse Theo. Just kidding, do as you please. I cursed too and I'm not taking it back. Some shows just really get to you. Can't wait for the upcoming episodes. Thanks for the reaction.

In the real life case tha happened in 2006 a 14 year old girl was brutally abused by three classmates. They would ask for money, but she wasn't able to pay all the time which is why they started to burn her arms with the curling iron, beat her with a bat, and scratched her chest with a barrette. So she wouldn't heal as it was done continuously and as even more punishment they would peel off her scabs. The perpetrators did get punished, but I wouldn't put it past them to not thoroughly punish them. I've watched a lot of cases in different countries and I must say the most horrible ones are pretty bad. I watch a lot of crime videos from different parts of the world revolving different kinds and the bullying escalation in asian countries especially in the education system is pretty horrendous. It's risen in years and I can see why Japan and South Korea always compete with each other with the highest suicide cases in the world. I've even watched some Korean and Japanese youtubers that speak on those matters. It's pretty crazy. Anyways sorry for the long rambling. Just wanted to inform on what I've read and watched, but as always do your own research to come to your own conclusions.

The bullying and torture scenes were based on a real bullying case in South Korea, which is just horrifying to even imagine. What’s even worse is that in so many real cases, the police don’t do anything because the bullies are minors. I watched Stephanie Soo talk about it on Rotten Mango, and it honestly gave me chills😔
