#Hardcover2025 Kickstarter is live (+ future artbook??!)

I'm really happy to announce that I'm a part of Spiridon's #hardcover2025 art book!

120 artists (many of whom you probably know) contributed works to it--it'll be a gorgeous book. And, unique to this project-- 90% of the profits go to the artists that contribute to it, which is unheard of. Check it out!

We're making a Winton Kidd + #hardcover solo art book! 🎉

From the September 2025 Spiridon Book Blast:

I am currently working on the schedule for the next year, and you might be excited about the first comic project under the #hardcover brand, which will be with the legendary Winton Kidd. We have been discussing this for weeks, and we have finally settled on a plan. Additionally, he will be the next artist for the #hardover solo book, coming in April 2026!

T here's going to be an artbook with original art (no fanart because this is a legit book ;) ) in hardcover and a comics anthology in hardcover.

As a publisher Spiridon/Hardcover has already made art books with Godiva Ghoul and OthalaM so I consider myself to be in extremely good hands and ridiculously esteemed company.

Terrifying. Anyways~

Brief art process talk:

I can only share a small part of the #hardcover2025 art because it's exclusive to the book, but it's a big sprawling two-page spread composition with a lot of figures and a lot of cats :3 It's weird to talk so much about something I can't show yet!

The theme for this book was "retro" which, when given to me in particular, is kinda a non-prompt? Like when do I make anything that doesn't fit that theme? 😅

At the time I had just started really drilling into the 1970's/1960's Daisies art, so I consolidated things in my head to be witches in the same era, so I could use more fashion/color influences.

I made a WIP/ sketch post for Department Access back in June of some of the unused sketches I made for this #hardcover2025 piece. It's been really hard not to talk about it.😅

Here's some little snippets of the unused sketches from that previous post. I was really committed to having some loud, gaudy wallpaper somewhere in the piece. And someone wearing roller skates with rainbow stripes on them(not pictured) 😘
