Pricing Update Stuff!

(BIG EDIT Because I'm sorry I really didn't include enough info here the first time!)

I've been needing to do a pricing adjustment to my patreon for a couple years now but I've been very much dragging my feet about it. The biggest issue I identified with the pricing of my patreon is under-valuing the comics library because access here is inconsistent with how I price my digital comics elsewhere.

I posted about this at the end of the May Report but I realize that might not have gotten seen by all of you so here's a quick recap:

⭐Tier Price Changes

$2.50 Basic Subscriber➡️$4 Early Access📎- All about early access to my new work, current comic, CYOA project and voting!

$5 Gold Subscriber➡️ $8 Department Access✒️ In-depth access to my process, suggestion boxes and hi res art/timelapse access!

$15 New Tier - $15 Archive Access🔑🗄️ Complete access to my comics, source files, etc. and maybe some far reaching looks into what’s on the distant horizon in collaboration with other artists.

📚Comics Library Changes

The biggest change is that my entire past comics library will be moving to Archive Access🔑🗄️ and will no longer be accessible at the other tiers. They will, however be available to purchase as a collection with all WIP/development posts included.

I still want patrons to be able to read my past comics so Department Access🖋️ will have access to a different featured comic each month in a rotating format.

What I wanted to do with changing up tiers is to make some things more convenient and more valuable for all of you since



Early Access🖇️(formerly Basic) - This tier I want to be focused on getting you my newest art, reading my latest full and exclusive comic, and participation in polls like for the CYOA!

• Feel the resounding gratitude in every drawn mark for supporting my work. 🖤


Department Access✒️(formerly Gold) - I want to keep emphasizing showing the same behind the scenes perks as the Gold Tier, being oriented around showing the process as much as possible (some of you mentioned missing timelapses and I've added that back in to this tier!)

• All Early Access Perks +
• Read the monthly free comic from the library.
• Contribute to suggestion boxes
• See process, sketches, timelapse vids.
• Read nerdy art talk
• Download hi-res JPGs from this year’s archive.
• Get new comic PDFs the month they’re complete!


Archive Access🔑🗄️- Some of you have been so generous and kind in being willing to give more than the previous tiers and so this is really the all-access tier, if you want to give more and not mess around and just get access to everything all at once.

I'm always hatching plans on how to involve other artists in my process and I'll probably talk about those plans before they really hit the runway here. I think the most obvious examples of this would be comics and animation things, this is the earliest sneak preview of that stuff.

Here’s How Tier Pricing Changes Work:

I'm sorry I know this whole thing is incredibly confusing, rest assured if you have any questions or have any frustrations, let me know so I can make it right or get you a refund, etc.

New patrons will pay the new price starting now, but existing all of you patrons and subscribers won't see anything about the price change until a month from now. In more detail:

Starting July 14th-August 14th, there will be a 31 day period during which:

• Renewals are billed at the old price
  

• New members pay the updated price
  

• You’ll receive an email notifying you of the pricing change and when it will affect you in billing.
  

Monthly Members: Price updates take effect one renewal cycle after the change

• For example, if your tier price changes on September 3 and your renewal is on September 5, you will still pay the old price on September 5, as it falls within the 31-day Price Lock Period. Your next renewal on October 5 will reflect the updated price
  

Annual memberships: Updates depend on your renewal date relative to the price lock period

• For example, if your tier price changes on September 3 and your annual membership renewal date is October 1, your renewal will remain at the old price because it falls within the 31-day Price Lock Period

Over the course of the rest of the month I'm going to be cleaning up some of the old patreon posts, tagging and categorizing a lot of stuff, doing general housekeeping in preparation for the shifts.

I wanted to make this follow up post to address any other questions that might have come up since I first shared pricing change info, so if anything is still unclear, please ask!

New art stuff coming real soon, I had a weirdly busy week and a lot of half-completed things but you can look forward to new comic pages in the next few days!
