Faun sketches
Added 2025-05-22 21:03:28 +0000 UTCEven though I've been making my way through the comic I keep trying to refine simplify the faun's character design.
To help with that I've been drawing her with different brushes/tools to see if that changes the way I approach it and hopefully to find out what are the most important things about her design to focus on to help her feel consistently on-model even if she's really not. My theory is that as long as principle shapes feel consistent, little things can change with no effect. Things like the silhouette of her hair, facial proportions and overall height.
I know I design things differently for animation vs. comics because with animation every added line costs you time, but with comics you can be selective in each case.
In truth I probably don't need to be thinking about this right now on a short-term project but it's a part of my brain I really can't turn offπ
