A Chorus Line of Satyrs.

My dearest gold patrons, it has happened again.

I've been hoarding sketches, and worse-- I've made that same old mistake again: Thinking too much. I'm officially revoking my own deliberating over character design license and taking it out of my hands.

I've been drawing all sorts of satyrs hoping that a few would speak to me and I could put them in front of you to vote on but I think I'm going in circles in this point. I trust this community's taste, so I'd love to get some feedback from y'all on the ones that speak to you to be refined and go forward to a character poll.

I'll probably take stock of what you think, put them into a blender with my own thoughts and pour out three options that can be put to a vote so we arrive at ONE singular sensation👯‍♀️

If it informs your opinion at all, I think I'm going to bring an anachronistic 1970's flavor to this ancient greco-roman tale. It doesn't make sense, but there you have it. I want a satyr with bellbottoms goddamnit.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these, the impish energy is something I'm going to have to explore and see where it takes me!

They're all lovely! I really like the upper and lower ones to the left on page 1, and the rightmost one on page 3as well as the rightmost one from the february update report. They both have some of that impish energy I associate with fauns and satyrs - that they feel just a bit animalistic and feral, as well as playful.

That's an interesting point comparing them to the dryads! I'm very curious to see how this turns out because while the dryads have personality, they don't really get to speak much! It will be as much of a surprise to me to see how the personality of the satyr develops as I start writing and drawing, but I think I should lean into the otherworldly intelligence of a mythological creature. Thanks for these two cents, I have a new dimension to be thinking about now 😁

The face in two-tone pink and mint in the upper right of the third image is a very strong design IMO - it captures that sense of a magical creature's blithe curiousity and amusement upon encountering a human, something like the attitude your dryads have.

Thank you Wuffff!!!💖💖💖💖

I definitely didn't think this through for soliciting the suggestions 😅 I should know better because I often label things for clients to review. I'll make it more clear cut for the next round. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!💖

Winton Kidd

Hehe I'm glad you approve of the floofy hooves Vale🩷 I'm glad to hear you like that drawing with the swordsman, because I was thinking back to how helpful it is to have one image that captures the vibe at the very beginning of a project and I'm hoping that will do the trick 💖 I need to get past indecision and just start drawing! 😤

Winton Kidd

Haha I don't know what the mortal risk is but I'm sure there is one. I like that you're picking up on the slight danger to them being mythical folk. Thanks for the thoughtful response! 🩷

Winton Kidd

Oh thank you for the kind words and also for your insights! 😁

Winton Kidd

That one kinda speaks to me too! I definitely think horns can/should be on all of them I just forgot!

Winton Kidd

Thank you for your eyesss Riz 🙏💕 "The head near the penis" is also one that I like hehe. I just had a penis drawing lying around I needed to put somewhere 😁

Winton Kidd

Thank you for the feedback Alex!!🩷

Omggg I love them!! The colooors <3

Wuff_Boman

I adore the yellow couple in the third image and the teal head above them to the right, but I'm not crazy about the satyr directly on their left. Also, as a suggestion for next time, could you possibly label each one with a letter or number? I'm having a hard time figuring out which ones people are referring to 😅

Em.T

IMO, the ones who stand out the most are: far right of first and second panel, the one with the swordsman in the third panel as well as the head doodle right next to his dick 😄 I looove those floofy hooves, I’ve also seen them in some of your previous designs and I’m so glad you decided to keep them! (Btw, I think the aforementioned satyr/swordsman doodle would make for a nice front cover. Just saying. 💖)

Satyr? I hardly know h- Anyways XD love the bell bottoms satyrs, such hippie vibes just *mwah* >:3 (Lowkey is a smidge gender for me >:3) For me, the ones all the way on the right in the first and second set of sketches calls out to me; combo love the relaxed feels... them being taller than the rest in just appearance, and also def appresh the first one cuz def also appreciator of the smaller tiddy too :3 First one love what I'm also catching as a playful smolder too XD like, am a sucker for inciting "oh really?" looks XD and yeh, combo that with tall? Like, mew? Melt me plx? Second just love how casually they're showing off :3 a smidge of look don't touch (but also do touch)? Which for a mythical creature, esp one which gives me the vibes of like yeah, nymphs, love that kinda allure >:3 In general tho, all absolutely solid, would be... uhhh... whatevs the mortal risk of fucking with satyrs is from Greek mythology XD that, I'd eschew that to be used as a toy by them all >:3

蒲公英

Lovely doodles overall! I say the design in the far right in the 1st image and the one in the far left in the 3rd image call out to me most.

River Fatal

First image second from the right is my favorite, what about that style with horns?

Mperer

Page 1, second from the right (the one before the one on the right end) page 2 far right side (the pink one), page 3 the head near the penis Those are the ones that stick out to me personally

Riz

I like the one on the far right in the first panel most!
