Witch things, continued
Added 2024-11-20 00:55:34 +0000 UTCSorry about hte radio silence everyone! I took a week to visit NYC for the first time and I just got back yesterday :) It wasn't exactly an unplanned trip, but what was unplanne was how little time I ended up having to post anything while I was away.
As a result, I am behind where I hoped to be, but I have a lot of nearly complete things I'm going to be polishing up and sharing because the trip was full of inspiration and I'm eager to get back to work.
I am really enjoying this green/orange color palette. It's really punchy and also flexible. It's a bit like the CYOA palette in a sense but more limited. While I was traveling I got a bunch of art books that are really inspiring, I'll definitely be sharing more about those!
Thank you for being patient with the Libby & Holly Ch3 finals, my progress has been a little slow on that front but that's my biggest priority for the rest of the month, to get that totally wrapped up.

I've got too many projects ideas but I did briefly think about tying witches in with the dryads in a purely fantasy story, but I ended up just slipping it into Libby and Holly instead 😁 I'll definitely keep exploring witches in the long form stuff to because they're really fun

BTW, would you be open to sharing that fountain pen brush I see all the time in your drawings and in these ones too? It seems quite fitting for playing around with pressure and line weights and such.

Kinokuniya, Strand Bookstore were my favorites, just because I bought the most stuff there lol Forbidden Planet comics was cool, and I would have loved to make it to more comic shops (heard good things about St. Mark's in Brooklyn) but I really didn't leave Manhattan. A friend told me about Sweet Pickle Bookstore in Chinatown which sounded really cute and also delicious, but I wasn't and to make it there!
