August Report

Happy September, friends! ✨Every day the pull in my heart to draw witches grows stronger and my ability to resist is weakened. 🧙‍♀️ Thank you for your support this August 🧡Let's review. Here’s what we have wrought:

📊Let’s get into the report!⬇️

Coming off July my schedule going forward is starting to finally look more consistent and more manageable and I’m going to do all I can to make it stay that way. 

Embracing the corporate art template for August was a fun thing to play around with and it led to me pursuing some silly ideas, office lady, for one.

It came a little bit later for me in the month, but the big naturals princess idea also resulted from indulging in this meta office narrative idea...

I think I needed some diversions early in the month because I embraced the ✅More Fanart Goal and made a lot of Audrey Ramirez fanart.

 I just really enjoyed filling up the template with drawings and playing off the two tone palette that the border kinda reinforces.

I have not forgotten Kida or Helga and I have a rough WIP page I showed to gold patrons last week but I haven’t quite cleaned it up yet because I shifted gears back to finish...

 ✅Libby&Holly CH3:PG31-35!

These pages are pure fun as far as I’m concerned. Lots of drawing challenges but it feels really good to draw these moments of zero restraint after a chapter of nothing but.

Many of these still have rough, incomplete color but I’ll give a full pass to the book right before I wrap it all up and make sure the color feels cohesive and consistent throughout.

✅CYOA PT 15 - At first y’all stumped me when you FIRMLY wanted to stay put with Paier instead of exploring the environment but I am nothing if not a silver lining finder. 

You might have been hoping for a threesome but you got a size difference orgy instead.

This one's my favorite she's so cute. I think she's wearing a little hood that actually covers her ears like socks. :3

I kind of relish getting to make up characters for a scene that don’t have to be a part of the party because I can be a little fast and loose with character designs and have no responsibility to them long term. I hope it’s not disappointing that you won’t be able to recruit a dozen garden sprites,  😉

Coming up next: Double Feature Comic Project

This is a part of my ongoing process to involve other artists in the work that we do here!

I’ve been developing a short comic project idea that I’m calling “Double Feature” in my head because it’s two stories I have written so that I can draw one and give the second one to a  ✨GUEST ARTIST!

 My story involves a satyr and swordsman which will conveniently overlap with one of the poll themes from last month.😏 The accompanying story will have a medusa gf❤️🐍❤️

I know I shouldn’t complicate my schedule any more than I am already so I’m going to slot in the Double Feature project between Libby & Holly Ch3 and Ch4. I usually find that I stumble a bit between chapters and comic projects so I’m experimenting with this to see if I can smoothly pick one up as I put another down.

This is my first time writing for someone else to draw so that’s a new challenge, but I’m excited to be able to use the support you give me to help support other artists and in turn make EVEN MORE fun things I think you’ll enjoy! It’s a beautiful cycle. 🥰 I’ll be sharing more of that when it’s a little further along!

Wrapping up, here's what's in the works this months.

SEPTEMBER GOALS:

⏹️ Libby and Holly 36-40 - My primary goal for the month is completing this chapter and I think 40 pages will bring us there, maybe I’ll need 2 more. I’m not 100% sure just yet but I’ll get close.
⏹️CYOA Pt 16 - I’m looking forward to drawing this one :)
⏹️ Fanart characters complete. - I want to honor the idea that I’ll draw every fanart theme poll character AT LEAST ONCE. Before we get up to another poll in October.🎃 I didn’t expect to spend so much time drawing Audrey tbh 😅
