Libby Pg19 WIP and other sketches
Added 2023-06-14 00:29:28 +0000 UTCThese are some little doodles and photo studies I've made lately in addition to this first version of page 19, plus the revision I made, as a spur of the moment.
This happens occasionally, when I've made an entirely functional drawing like in the first example, but then I just feel really bored by it. I feel like if I were to share it, it wouldn't command the viewer's attention like I'd hope, or stand out on a twitter feed (which for better or worse is where I compete for eyeballs).
I don't feel like every comic page needs to be shouting for attention, but I think there should be an interesting way of handling even the most mundane things and this is one of those instances, Libby contemplating the mess under her clothes, where I just felt like my first attempt wasn't achieving what it needed to.
I don't have a great point here, just kinda thinking out loud and wanted to share some things I've been kicking around :)
