📢 Update Time!

Writing Book 3 the Aetherhold Arc  has been immensely fun… but also one of the most challenging things I’ve done so far.

Suddenly, the world of Aetherborn exploded in scope. I had to come up with kingdoms, new characters, lore, history, and so much more. The story pivoted in a big way, and I found myself trying to figure out soooo many things I hadn’t originally planned for: the spellcasting system, how magic differs from skills, how it all fits together, and how to keep Thorne powerful but not overpowered (because let’s be real, no one wants the story to lose its edge).

Every time I thought I had it all figured out, boom, something new popped up. I’ve spent days just planning, brainstorming, and mapping things out. The shift in the story’s direction was big enough that, at one point, I even considered pivoting and telling the Aetherhold story in a spinoff series with a different protagonist.
But I just couldn’t do it.
Aetherhold has been teased since the very beginning, it would’ve felt like cheating to push it aside. (That said… a book set in Aetherhold might still happen someday 👀)

Now, onto other news...
I’ve been writing Thorne’s story for over a year now, almost daily, and as much as I love it, I’ve been itching to write something new.

Don’t worry! I’m not abandoning Thorne’s story (I couldn’t even if I wanted to… wink wink). But there’s another project that’s been bouncing around in my head since before I started Aetherborn, and I finally gave in. I’ve already written a few chapters, and the first one drops this Saturday!

It’s a bit more of a traditional LitRPG, you’ll see numbers, skills, all that crunchy goodness, but with a heavy focus on kingdom building, which I love. (Shoutout to all the settlement-building fans!)

This new book will take a little while before it shows up on Royal Road, mainly because I want to build a healthy backlog first, just like I did with Aetherborn. But… I might upload a free chapter every Saturday for the foreseeable future. We’ll see. 😆

Anyway, that’s it for now!
This Saturday, I’ll be sitting at the edge of my seat waiting for your reactions. I really hope you enjoy it and as always, I want your honest feedback.

Thanks for being here. You’re the best. 🖤

Don’t you worry Aetherborn isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Not until Thorne’s story comes to an end!
