How does the shrinking occur?

I'm going to be releasing several polls this week to get an idea of what everyone is looking for. Since you all are helping me continue writing stories, I want to hear from you!

Best, if there is an unknown amount of size changing scenes before reaching the final size. However many there may be. And I like a direct relation between cause and effect: e.g. girl gets shot by ray gun and she shrinks over the next pictures due to this particular shot. More “shots” to come, who knows?
