Book 6 Early Access: Chapter 8
Added 2023-11-15 17:30:33 +0000 UTCIn the 8th chapter, we start to move away from the Fun & Games to the Midpoint of the Academy Arc. Rest assured, there's still plenty of fun to be had, but in this chapter at least, things are going to get a lot more serious!
A trip to the principal's office has never been so deadly! This is where the second pair of bad endings are, which you'd only see in the actual game if your attachment score is either really high or really low. I don't think I have any more bad endings planned for the rest of the book, so if you're stressing out about them—don't!
Also, I think an official checkpoint system is in the works over at choicegame headquarters, so by the time Book 6 actually releases, it'll have some kind of saving system in it.
In terms of rpgs, a bit of the "mainquest" gets elaborated on during this chapter. This is going to be explored much further in near-future chapters as well. As you can expect, the mainquest has to do with being the Sword Who Cuts the Heavens. Mentioning mainquest details is always a delicate process—how much do I reveal, and when? It's tricky stuff, and if I make a mistake with it, I'll never live it down!
I'm still getting flak for a certain bug involving barons and paintings at the start of Book 3!
