The Future of my Art
Added 2017-07-14 18:30:09 +0000 UTCI feel this needs to be said sooner than later because its important and will effect my art output in the future.
Recently someone commented on an update and asked if I was getting burnt out on drawing Hugtastic Pinkie Pie updates and of course I said I wasnt because at the time, I thought about it and I really wasnt burnt out. I do 4 updates a week on top of commissions and other art as weve all seen throughout the past year or more.
But the more I think about it, the more I am actually getting burnt out. Not just on HPP, but on MLP as a whole. I havent watched the show in over 3 years and I really dont want to continue doing mainly mlp art anymore.
Hear me out, theres is nothing wrong with it, I DO enjoy drawing it but lately, no scratch that, for the past year or so Ive been so oversaturated with mlp stuff that I really want to change that.
I change my mind from time to time. If youve followed for long enough youre no stranger to this. Change is good. I like change.
I dont want to be known as that one mlp artist, not that I am. I do think that the more I continue the closer it gets to that. Ive had more fun doing general nsfw art than I have doing HPP updates, and with almost 400 updates now, can you really blame me?
But with that comes another problem. Patreon. People have been supporting me on Patreon for a while now and while the amount I get is nothing compared to a lot of others, its still something. Something Ive been afraid to lose if I were to switch from HPP to general art. But Im going to take the risk.
Now, Im not going to just stop doing HPP for now, people have paid for this month and I intend to at least wrap up this GOO thing. So within the next month or two, HPP will be ending. Im sorry about this after I said I needed more to continue HPP but I need a makeover. Content, my mindset, my blog look even. I want to change it up.
Within the next few months, Ill be shifting to general smut art, the kind of stuff Ive been putting off for a year now. Patreon will still be to support the blog, get some discounts and sketches, but getting rid of the HPP schedule and general MLP centered content. I know a lot of you are probably tired of HPP, and even if you arent, I am getting to that point. Id rather end it before I get burnt out for real.
And as always if you want MLP content, I am always open for commissions, every week, 5 days a week.
