My Hero Automata (Ch 103-106)

This update wraps up events with Humarise. Less climactic than the LoV, but I'll go over the reasons for that in an Author's Note. As it is, the story is edging back onto the original course I had planned for it. The Invasion content got a little more involved than I'd originally envisioned, though not really in a bad way. Just in a way that drug us away from more of the character interactions between various people than I'm entirely happy with. Not in quality, but rather in the amount of action I've needed to write! Forcing me to write tons of action is a great way to make me burn out on something a bit, since it's one of my least favorite things to write -_-. Thankfully, we'll get a small break in the next update from the wall-to-wall action, some more action for two more arcs, then back to something more like my usual pacing (hopefully).
Anyway, this addition is a little over 9,800 words, bringing us pretty close to spot on for the 15k mark that is the usual monthly goal for this story. As usual, the new bits of story are attached here in various formats, and I'll be updating the Master Files in the Pinned Post shortly. Enjoy!

Thanks again for this! Just got the changes made to the master on this one. I'll be putting up the next set of chapters in a couple of hours (still need to edit the new stuff) and the fixes will be in the new master files.

My only request would be to do an interlude sometime soon from a Civilian POV, Grunt POV or other similar low level individuals to do some world building for how the little man is handling all the problems. alternatively do some interludes from the POV of other science personnel or foreign military command to really drive home how big of a deal Midoriya is. All the reactions you’ve given have been people who have directly interacted with our protagonists and doing somebody else would give some perspective about how much is classified and how the news is spreading to maintain morale. it’ll give you a chance to do a time skip by doing a bunch of newspapers or something about a bunch of different events and maintaining narrative momentum while also breaking up the monotony that’s starting where our MC solves a problem and gets a pat on the back from basically only Nezu before being put on the next problem

I'm actually going to have a poll sometime in the not too distant future (probably February?) regarding a specific bit of this story's future. Which will give you lot a say in EXACTLY how it works out, but the general gist is slowly shaping up and has been for a while...

Frankly, the movie that covered the events took Suspension of Disbelief out back, shot it, then pissed on the corpse. There is literally no possible explanation for a WORLD Hero Association to call on only Japanese student heroes as a solution to a massive global terrorist threat. That's even more true with the military so active in this fic, so I threw that portion of it out entirely. Instead, I had them focus entirely on stopping their local Humarise Cell, while other governments and their heroes dealt with theirs. This is why the arc ended up pretty short, as removing the pure bullshit of a level that would disgust even the bull that it came out of paired down the content a lot. A/N 2: I also, frankly, can't see how this should have been anything other than a stealth operation. Hence the lack of vicious bloody combat for the most part. We got enough of that from the LoV arc that just ended anyway.

Currently, their working on a very fly-by-the-seat-of-their pants approach, which is going to cause problems in the long run if they don't do something about it. Just a bit of foreshadowing you might want to pay attention to ;-)... A/N 2: So...I really considered, repeatedly, just letting the UA traitor thing go unresolved. Ultimately, that just didn't feel right now. So it gets a small bit piece here. As you should have read in the chapter, Yuga was pretty...ineffective, as a mole. Given the circumstances, I think Nedzu's approach was rational. Even if not perfect.
