Mwhahahahah! Ambush update! Happy Halloween evening everyone ;-). This isn't Halloween themed...buuuutttt I've been feeling a touch guilty giving so much focus to A Very Confused Pokemon Adventure when Eridium Dreams was actually supposed to be the next story to get a mini-update. So...I made a mini-update! It's not much, only a little over 3,000 words, but it's a small proof-of-life for the story at least.
Note: This will NOT reset its update counter for the monthly poll. I'm not that evil. This is purely an extra!
Anyway, the chapter isn't overly exciting since we were due for a transition, but it does provide some insight into the current state of the galaxy (it's now 26 years post 'First Contact' after all). Honestly, it goes into that more than I really wanted to, but even after some authors' notes I kept getting way, way, way too many whiney or accusatory comments about humanity giving up Eridium tech too easily.
As such, I figured I needed to provide a little perspective, even if I was forced to do so in a blunter way than I'd like. Preferably, I'd have liked to slip in the various bits over time, rather than hit people over the head with them all at once. But, hopefully, seeing a snapshot of what humanity was playing at long-term will finally give me some piece from the people complaining about humanity 'giving' the council Eridium tech. Ugh.
Anyway! There's also some interesting changes mentioned almost off hand, which will start showing everyone just how much has changed in the background...while also showing that some things yet remain the same. As always, the new stuff is attached here in various formats, and I'll update the Master Files shortly. Enjoy the mini-update!

Correction in the "Nodal System" Page 2: ...not part of the agreed upon information "sharing" by... Correction: ...information "shared" by... ...doled out information as fast "a" they could have... Correction: ...as fast "as" they could have... ...but they'd been strong enough and "possed" enough tech... Correction: ...and "possessed" enough tech... Page 3: ...from the polite-but-"through" investigation... Correction: polite-but-"thorough" investigation... Page 5: "More so even that Turians" Correction: "Even more so than the Turians" Short chapter but nice change of pace! Haha! Humanity being a headache as usual...
