My Hero Automata (Chapters 81 & 82)

As usual, this is the smaller of the two monthly updates for My Hero Automata, only around 6,000 words. It's also a bit of a transition point in the story, so a bit heavy on the exposition and intenral character musings, rather than the action. But it needed doing. It acts as a transition from the frantic panic activity of the invasion to something with more staying power. Not that everything is resolved, not even close! Just that I can't keep telling the invasion day-my-day forever or the story pacing will start dragging ;-). Anyway, these two chapters start to get things moving again, so that such a thing doesn't happen...
