Can One Displaced Hero Save a Galaxy? (33-36)

Whew! I only just got this one edited in time to hit the usual schedule. I just finished the editing pass a few minutes ago. Still, its 17,000+ words, so I think everyone will be happy! There's even a lemon for those that like them ;-).

As I've been doing, I'll put some author's notes in the comments. Though I'll wait until I get all the public release uploads done for the previous chapters set this time, so that it's not too late in the evening when the updates hit. Still, the comments should be up by midnight at the latest.

As always, the files of new-content-only can be found attached to this post. And I'll be updating the Master Files in the pinned post within a few minutes. Enjoy!

Can One Displaced Hero Save a Galaxy? (33-36)

So, there has been something buzzing around in the back of my brain regarding Izuku and how they're trying to hide just how trained he is... there are non-jedi force users that are known. (Look up Jedha and the Convocation of the Force for all the many different force user sects represented on it if you want background on more than I will mention) Two Force Sensitive ideologies/trainings/organizations (though one isn't really an organization by any real measure of the definition of the word) in particular seem applicable to Izuku's combat abilities- both as potential cover, and possible sources of additional skills/training. The Matukai and the Wardens of the Sky. The Matukai are known for using the force to enhance their bodies to superhuman levels (superphysical? What word do you use for an alien/multispecies society like starwars), this most directly aligns with Izuku's techniques with using telekinesis to enhance his movements (though, his use to pull himself/push himself away in ways he physically couldn't is outside their scope from what I have read of the Matukai, something specific to Izuku). The major hold-back from just claiming him to being Matukai (other than having missing knowledge/no Matukai knowing him) is that they apparently craft/use a Poleaxe weapon they create/bond with through the force. The Wardens of the Sky are mostly thought of as myth. They act solo, and covertly but they are definitely "heroic" in philosophy from an MHA type viewpoint. They believe in keeping the hyperlanes safe and free for travel for all. They believe firing blasters in ships is too dangerous and thus are highly trained/specialized in hand-to-hand combat/fighting aboard ships. If you look more into what there is on both, then perhaps you can understand when I say Izuku feels to me like someone who has Matukai physical training but then became an apprentice to a Warden of the Sky. The combination of physical enhancement and unarmed combat and the desire to stop slaving/piracy. They all just seem to be able to come together and weave into a plausible background/backstory for Izuku's cover identity, even the fact that Wardens of the Sky go out of their way to not let anyone know of their identity would fit. Not to mention that introducing some/a Warden(s) to the story could give additional contacts for what they are trying to do, and may be an asset for what they may inadvertently end up doing/creating with regards to their own group of Jedi and temporally/dimensionally displaced individuals. (Also, just because I don't see them used nearly as much as I would like, and they do allow marriage/family, so in-universe their philosophies could be worth consulting for how those are dealt with; the Green Jedi, or the Corellian Jedi, have their own separate Temple on Corellia [which, with the giant planet sized station/ship derelict- Centerpoint Station- in that system, Mei would be fascinated by it being believed to have all five planets in the system transported *Through Hyperspace* to create said system, so yeah dangerous for Mei to visit- she'd be able to spend her life lost on Centerpoint station.] Anyways Corellia has lots of ship yards [CEC, Corellian Engineering Corporation, created the famously modular/extremely customizable YT series freighters.. of which the Millennium Falcon is an iconic example of a modified YT-1300] and there is an entire Major Hyperspace Lane named the Corellian Run. Basically, I am just waiting to see when/if Corellia will become a visited sytem/play any part in the story given its potential, even if this whole tangent is completely separate from my original intention in writing about the Matukai and Wardens of the Sky seeming like good pieces for a cover identity for Izuku, or at least possible new training avenues that could be explored.)

You're welcome :-). I always thought a lot of fanfiction writers are a bit...overly convinced of their own amazingness. I appreciate support so I can have more writing time free, but I'm also not egotistical enough to think I'm writing the next best seller here ;-).

"Bubbles" (Nikkila) is, in fact, an OC. Her race is canon, but the character isn't. She's one of the first OCs I've added that's going to be recurrinh (previously, pretty much only Anash was recurring as an OC, I think). We're reaching the point where I'm going to HAVE to start adding some OCs, simply because their operations are expanding and there aren't a lot of useable canon characters during this time period. Whenever I can, though, I try to use canon characters. Even if the details about them are sketchy at best. Doing so is, frankly, because I know that there's no way I'm going to be able to avoid OCs over the long haul. So the more characters I can pull from canon the better, to keep the story from being flooded with OCs. The first sister has likely already been exiled. The third might still be salvageable via butterfly effect. We don't really know much about her other than that she tried to assassinate her mother, though...

Its great stuff so thank you for not charging a fortune to read it like some authors on here do and thank you for the effort you put into it to make it good

Chapter 36 A/N: So, if you caught the mentions of time moving, this chapter served to push us through most of 30 BBY. It was always the case that it was going to take them a fair bit of time to get their business operations and logistics booted up. Chapter 33, with Celeste, was basically at the verrrrry end of 31 BBY (Remember, BBY works for the prequals like BC/BCE dates do for out history, as it stands for Before Battle of Yavin). I basically carefully choose a series of events that would show them setting up the initial bits of their little business/logistics empire. Rather than dragging the story movement down by covering every little thing they did. This way we can delve into their more serious anti-slaver operations starting in the next release...

Chapter 34/35 A/N: Downtime, fun times with Aayla in a bikini, as well as a kinky lemon with her in even more fun things. What's not to love ;-). That said, these two chapters did double duty of mentioning Almas Academy. Almas was originally created for one of the tabletop games, which means a lot of you might never have heard of it. I certainly hadn't until I ran across it in a few bits of fanfiction. I like the idea of it, and have a plan involving them that we should see in the next release.

Fair enough all around. Should have started with asking about Canon status or trying to google them I guess, especially once it became clear they would be recurring... then again, Mei's new friend "Bubbles" seems like they will be recurring but also that they may be original so what do I know (could even be an existing character too). You mentioned that the 1st and third sister's turn dark, hopefully butterfly effect can save one at least

Chapter 33 A/N: So...bet no one was expecting a 5,000+ words chapters from Celeste's perspective, huh? Don't worry, that won't be very common. However, this particular incident was one of the reasons I brought Celeste into the story in the first place. Originally, the person to solve that crisis was Quinlian Vos (Aayla's former master)...who I killed off with my opening alterations to the timeline. Celeste doesn't exist in this story PURELY to take care of some of the issues he should have. But it IS one of the reasons I brought her in. Her skills are obviously going to be majorly useful elsewhere. But this issue on Dathomir that Quinnlan originally handled was one I explicitly intended her to handle from the start. It also served as a way to give some insight/development to her character. Also, I found the idea of her having to deal with Mei on her own funny ;-)...

This comment is for Author's Note for these chapters. My comments nested below this one may contain spoilers and I recommend you read the relevant chapters first ;-).

Good to know I'm not the only one that does that ;-). I've lost so much sleep over the years to late night content releases of favorite stories... I'm glad you like mine enough to have that problem ^_^.

Trust me, I'm as annoyed about the name similarity as you are. Probably more. Unfortunately, there are VERY few actual Dathmori characters who we have names for that were alive during this time period. Current canon butchered Dathomir, leaving only the Nigthsisters instead of making them only one clan out of many. I strongly prefer the Legends version, where the majority of the planet are light side clans. Sadly, virtually all of that content is from the Imperial or New Republic eras. Which means very few of the characters are alive in the pre-clone wars era. Augwynne Djo is basically the only character we know much about that would be alive at the time Celeste visits. And she had multiple daughters, whose names we also know. But the 1st and 3rd turned to the darkside at some point, making them bad choices. Allaya is the 2nd daughter. And if my practical calculations about the ages involved are right, most likely the only one that's a suitable age, as the youngest is probably only like 10-12 years old at best guess. If it makes you feel any better, I don't intend for her to end up with Izuku, even if the story becomes a multiship like I suspect it might. She'll mostly be following along with Celeste, who will often be off doing her own thing.

Thanks for the chapters! Great to get my fix of this great story! Looking forward to reading much more!

Allaya Djo of Dathomir, Aaylas'ecura (think I spelled that right) or commonly Aayla. Having those two names, Allaya and Aayla, so similar on their own could make for confusing reading (even more so for any dyslexic readers), but from what little I know of the Dathomirian society and what the women do when they find a potential mate... added to how pretty much every Jedi has reacted to Izuku and his connection to the force. I cannot help but expect at least *a* scene where Allaya tries to make a claim on Izuku. Even if not in an enslavement sense, their society do not see males as having an equal choice so from her viewpoint all she needs to deal with is Aayla's existing claim. And if somehow they reach a compromise to share Izuku? Having both Allaya and Aayla in extended scenes is just asking for their names to get swapped for one another at somepoint. I do like the concept of the character, I just hope the choice of name is not as potentially as much an issue as I see it could be.
