Squished Like a Bug Against Luz's Sole

Amity had been on her way to visit Luz, looking down from her staff as she watched her girlfriend tinkering with runes. Dropping altitude, she was just about to call out to Luz when one of the runes began sparking wildly, a stray bolt careening up and blasting Amity backwards. As she plummeted towards the ground her vision blurred, finally fading to black...

Luz picked herself up off the dirt, brushing herself off and wincing as she took in the burned and pocked landscape. None of her past failed runes had fizzled so violently before, the sudden chaos had thrown the young witch for quite the loop. She could have sworn she'd heard someone shouting when everything kicked off, but looking around the deserted clearing made her think she was just hearing things. Finally calming down, Luz finally took note of the rancid stench drifting up from her feet. She looked down, grimacing at the sorry sight of her sneakers. When the rune overloaded it must have struck them without her realising, and while she was relieved to be unhurt her footwear was a burned and perforated mess. She kicked them off in disgust, peeling her socks off as well for good measure since they were stained from the melted fabric. She flexed her bare toes once her feet were free, shaking off the tufts of sock lint that stuck to her sweaty sole and between her digits. It felt oddly good to be walking around barefoot outside, and helped distract her a bit from the heart-pumping disaster that had just occurred...

Meanwhile, Amity woke up with a splitting headache. Her whole body ached and her eyes were too teary to see properly, but she managed to struggle to her feet after a moment. Squinting at her immediate surroundings she saw no sign of her staff, the young witch started calling out for Luz while clutching her pounding head. Concussed, it was hardly her fault that she dismissed the distant booming  and trembling ground as tricks of her rattled mind. Her head didn't clear enough to realise differently until the noise was nearly upon her and she had tumbled to the ground. Twisting around, time seemed to froze as she drank in the impossibly towering form of her girlfriend, stretching to the heavens above. Her bare sole soared above her like a massive cloud, eclipsing the sky entirely for the stupefied tiny. She didn't even think to scream as the massive ceiling of flesh rocketed down, squishing her with titanic pressure...

"Hmm? Eww... think I stepped on a bug..."

Luz couldn't even be bothered to look at the smear under he foot, assuming it would wear away before she headed back inside. The incident dispersed from her memory entirely after a few moments, her mind recognising that such a worthless speck wasn't worth recollecting. Amity meanwhile, felt her world shatter again and again with every step the giantess took. She didn't understand how her tiny body hadn't exploded after the first impact, the magic that has shrunk her clearly at hand in some way. As she gagged on the sweat and grime of her unknowing girlfriend's foot, sinking deeper into the pudgy brown flesh like an embedded pebble, she just hoped that Luz noticed her sooner rather than later...
